I know you guys remeber his classic hit "the rain" but how was the rest of his music? Was that album any good? Whatever happened to him??

I have his first album on vinyl.It's a decent album,but it's surprisingly mellow.There's not alot of hardcore funk or uptempo jams on it.Lush ballads dominate.Clearly,Jones was going for an early-70s R&B/doo-wop sound.My favorite songs are "The Rain" and "1-2-1",a light,breezy uptempo number that should have been the second single.I also like the song "Love Will Find A Way".

I think he was the one who wrote, "I need Love", for LL.

And I love Oran's rap at his lover at the end of "The Rain". That's my favorite part of the song, lol.
