I remember watching a movie about Jimi where this guy (I think he was an old friend) theorized that that feeling you get when you fall asleep and suddenly jerk awake is like a moment of decision, where you can either fall into death or jerk awake.

He said Jimi might have just been brave enough to choose to die!

I hadn't ever heard about a murder, though I've heard that maybe he could have been saved, as was written up above somewhere.

What you're refering to is called an "alpha jerk" and the footage that u saw was in a doc on Jimi released in 1973.

Obviously u weren't there as nor were we. That's why I mentioned about a book that deals spcifically with evidence that Jimi was muredered. Evidence was held back from the public choosing instead to release that Jimi died of an overdose. Which was not true. He died of forced drowning. Someone held Jimi down and poured wine down his throat untill he choked to death. When the paramedics arrived, Jimi had already been dead for hours. No one was there but Jimi. Jimi was covered with vomit and wine was all over the bed and Jimi's hair was soaked with wine. If u were to vomit up wine, wine would not get in your hair. It was poured onto Jimi while it was being forced down his throat. It was no secret that Mike Jeffery, who handled Jimi's money, was a thug who had strong ties with the Mob. Jimi had been trying to break ties with him for over a year. Mike wasn't having it. This is just scratching the surface regarding the information. If anyone TRULY wants to know or care about Hendrix at all, I strongly suggest reading this book. If you're not a fan and u can careless about Jimi, then u know.... Folks will believe what they want to believe anyways, regardless of what info is given to them. So if that's the case, then the book will fall on death ears because that's a choice to not WANT to know anything else.

I have a movie on Jimi that I have yet 2 watch. Was any of this covered in the movie?

No, none of this has ever been re-acted in a film.

And regarding that "he could have been saved", yeah, I'm sure that u have read that "somewhere". But the truth of the matter is is that Jimi couldn't have been saved being that what u read was Jimi was riding in the back of an ambulance trying to sit up but couldn't cuz he was either 1) held down by a paramedic or 2) he was strapped down preventing him to sit up, therefore causing him to choke on his own vomit. Neither scenerio went down, according to the two veteren paramedics that testified on this matter. Jimi couldn't have been saved because Jimi had been dead for hours before they had even been called to the residence. No one was there to ride with Jimi to the hospital, which had also been widely reported. It was Jimi and the two medics.

I can dig it. The film was from 73. It was a theatrical release. I have the vhs and the soundtrack.

I wasn't claiming it as truth or what I believed, only a scenario I'd heard.

As for murder, certainly anything's possible in this world...

Brutha B would that book be called "Hit And Run"? Never read it but wanted to. There's supposedly some mob speculation circuling Jimi's death in that book.

If that Jimi pic came out in the early 90's, Angela Bassett would have played a great Fayne. I remember Larry Fishburne was slated to play him back then.

What it is, Spyz? Where the fuck have u been? Missed u, player. Uh, nah. Hit and Run is good too. And yeah, it talks on the Mafia connection. No the book to get dealing specifically on Jimi's death and what really went down is called "Jimi: The Last Days". Yeah, I agree on Angela playing Fayne. But I'm glad Larry didn't fuck with that role.

I don't know the facts to this story, nor have I read the book, but I find it odd that these rock stars who have passed away always get a "murdered" rumour buzzing around after a while.

Maybe it's because we just cannot accept that these people are mere mortals who occasionally die too young because it doesn't fit the mystique for them to die a mundane death, or maybe it's because it's easier to speculate about something that happened so long ago now that proof/ eye witness memories/ DNA evidence are much harder to come by for, say, something that took place 35 years ago.

For my money, Morrisson died from drugs, Brian Jones too, Hendrix too.

But I don't know in any of these cases. I wasn't there.

Obviously u weren't there as nor were we. That's why I mentioned about a book that deals spcifically with evidence that Jimi was muredered. WORD!!!!! MIKE JEFFERY WAS A MAJOR ASSHOLE WHO WAS TOTALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR BREAKING UP THE BAND OF GYPSYS AS WELL!!!! JIMI WAS GONNA CHANGE THE FACE OF ROCK AND R&B IN 1970, BUT JEFFERY WANTED THAT "SAME 'OL", MEANING THE EXPERIENCE. I LOVE MITCH MITCHELL'S DRUMMING, BUT BY 1970 HE WAS TIRED AS WELL. BUDDY MILES AND BILLY COX SUITED JIMI TO A TEE.....THE EPITOME OF FUNK N' ROLL!!!! AND JEFFERY'S C*NT SECRETARY TRIXIE SULLIVAN KNOWS THE WHOLE ORDEAL!!!
JEFFERY HAD BUDDY MILES SPIKED WHICH ENDED THE BAND OF GYPSYS ON A BAD NOTE...
MUTHAF**K MIKE JEFFERY AND THAT BITCH TRIXIE SULLIVAN!!!!!
cool cool cool cool cool
