Great song and I too love this performance, for nostalgic purposes. I believe its from 'Urgh, A Music War'. Anyone old enough to remember this thing being played countless times on USA Network's 'Night Flight'...?

Actually, this is a Tubeway Army track, not a solo number.
I'll be hearing this live in 6 weeks. Gary is doing a complete performance of the Replicas album to celebrate the 30th anniversary. Can't wait! .

i used to watch 'night flight' all the time, though i rarely watched it when they played movies like this, much to my regret now. i do remember watching 'another state of mind' and i THINK i discovered 'suburbia' from night flight as well. i learned sooo much about music from that show.

Even though I think this is a straight-up Bowie send-up, it's still pretty cool. Gary is proof of how influential David Bowie was becoming at the turn of the 70's. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

i think most of numan's glory day material is a straight-up bowie send-up...but for my money, nobody sends bowie up better than gary numan. love him.

my favorite Gary Numan song. I love those drums especially but the synth chording kills it too!
