Ledisi Lost & Found I was just listening to one of her songs from her newest record called, "Alright" and I really dig it. I've been hearing everywhere that her new album is an absolute must have because it is a very consistent R&B-jazz album that is smooth and so restrained from much of today's R&B. I also heard that she wrote nearly every song on the album. Is it any good?
Check me out and add me on:

It's a good album. More polished than some of her prior (outstanding) efforts. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

WOW. This album is totally amazing. Her voice is so amazing. I hope she keeps doing her thing and doesn't start working with this and that 'HOT' producer.

It's a good CD, but her debut "Soulsinger" (2 versions of it exists - "The Revival" version has added songs I believe) is still her best work. That's the one to definitely have. She also has a bomb ass jazz album called "Feeling Orange But Sometimes Blue" where she does some great covers. That also needs to be in one's collection.

I don't have the Revival version of Soulsinger, but I have the others, and Feeling Orange has a fantastic cover of "Autumn Leaves." Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

If I'm using this lingo wrong, the music heads will call me out, but her phrasing and vocal stylings are exceptional. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

Yea, I got it too but I've only played it once. This was before all the hype, I didn't even know who the hell she was & her cd was included as a "free bonus" for others that I had actually ordered. I need to sit down and give it real listen. love is a fate resigned memories mar my mind love it is a fate resigned Over futile odds and laughed at by the Gods and now the final frame Love is a losing game
