How oldie?
70s was my limit, apart from the Beatles, but I've been buying quite a lot of 60s music lately nod

Okay, I all ready know that I am going to get more than laughed at for this one, so here it goes.....

Engelbert Humperdink.

When I was growing up, he was one of the many different artists that was played in my childhood. To be honest, I am glad I was exposed to different things.

Not at all, cuz it was the age of communism here. neutral

And all the 70s music I love have an untouched beauty to me, and that's just fine. I love to travel in time with music to places I've never been, to ages I don't have any connection...It's just dayreaming... smile

His real name is Arnold Dorsey....His manager suggested the name after he saw that it was the name of the person that wrote "Hansel & Gretel".

I've been told I should be ashamed of myself for being an avid Backstreet Boys fan, but fuck it. Why like something if you're going to be embarassed about it?

The fact that they are together is cool. And while I am not a fan of most of their catalog, I think "I Want It That Way" is one of the greatest pop songs of the past decade.

The fact that they are still together (albeit sans Kevin) is unbelievable! 15 years is an impressive scope of time for any band, but espcially for the sort of group whose standard shelf life is only 2-3 years. Unlike a lot of the contrived, audition-type groups though, they seem to genuinely like each other and get along, which no doubt helps.
