I dont know or care for this dumb and purile arguement regarding Prince taking a verbal knuckle supper from Han Vunt.

So! That's my attitude. Van Hunt can say anything he likes, just like you mofos--or is it, the only people who can have opinions are those not in the limelight, but if you're famous, you have to keep your mouth shut and be all on egg shells.
Van Hunt's words should not be criticized any harsher than anyone of our statements--or should we hold them up to a higher standard because he's famous? Yes, the man feels he accomplished something and is qualified to speak, the simple fact is, because he is Van Hunt, we are going to elevate his opinions above those of a regular orger. This thread has shown that if anything, Van's opinions carry more weight than your average orger. If we are being utterly serious here: There are probably numerous people in the industry with not too kind things to say about Prince, and they are probably just as, if not more accomplished than Prince. I doubt P fans would only get upset about a slight against P's solo's or songwriting, even now after all his fans have been through, many of you would still vouch for his civility and good nature. Sorry but Van Hunt was really stupid to write what he did. Not because this is true or not (even though it sounds like someone who is really bitter) but because Prince has nothing to do with his own fans' comments. He should have a go at the fans and not at Prince in the first place.
Secondly I think Van Hunt knows shit about Prince cuz if he had heard him in a club playing the guitar, he would have felt humbled. Moreover if we start writing a list of great songs Prince has writen over the years, his statement about Prince not being a good song writer will sound even more stupid. Thirdly, I'm sorry and it has nothing to do with what his comments but he is such an average talent that I don't even understand how he dares to write such BS. The only people trying to turn this into a Prince vs. Van Hunt thing are the fanbots. What he said wasn't all that bad and it came with praise as well but those same heroworshippers seem to omit that part of his thread ON HIS BLOG. People make mountains out of molehills around here and paraphrase someone's word until its a boldface lie. At no point did Van Hunt say Prince wasn't a good songwriter. He said just the opposite. that is not entirely true. Some of the posts are but I know some of the history of some Orgers who posted and they have been critical as well. Just because someone perceived Van's message different than you does not make he/she a hero worshipper. Such name calling just seems over the top. Folks perceive things differently and the fact that Van had to clarify tells me perhaps the wording may have come off not what he intended, even though it may be obvious to you or others. if that is the case what about the Van worshippers on his blog.
