MJB @ CES 2008 In past years, the Monster Cable event at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) has featured artists such as James Brown, Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder & Al Jarreau/George Benson.
This year it was... ...Mary J. Blige Not an MJB fan but neither am I a gambler or heavy drinker so when I have to spend time in Las Vegas, the shows are my entertainment (especially FREE ones). It appeared that the majority of the songs were from the beat-down woman perspective. And after a string of those in a row, I was pretty much burnt out. Don't ask me what they were because I couldn't tell you. The ones I recognized were the U2 cover (One) and the tune that uses that soap opera melody (No More Drama). However, she did seem quite sincere with the audience, thanking them numerous times for "even paying attention to someone like me." tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Cute. All the folks there seemed to be diggin' it though. But then again, they enjoy all the events Head Monster... ...Noel Lee puts on. Beyond the cable products, he's started a record company. Al Jarreau & George Benson's Givin' It Up was the first release. http://www.monstermusic.com/catalog.asp tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
