She has one or two songs that attempt Tina but other than that, not even close.

She is the Diana Ross, for all the good and bad that goes with it. Some things are obivious like starting in a group but having the male figure who always saw her as the solo act, etc. And there is a large element of glamour that goes along with her image, the attempt at acting ("Dreamgirls" was her "Lady Sings..." of course not as successful in that it did not help her as an actress).

And let's be honest, when it comes to life stories, Beyonce's is a hellvu a lot more like Diana's. Tina's was more hard fought in every way and she saw this soul in her voice. I listen to those eighties records and some people might say they are too produced and don't touch the more funky, soulful, rocking or real Ike stuff but her voice in songs like "Better Be Good To Me" and the songwriting and the pharsing and the production...forget it! Try that, Beyonce. Just try!

I truly think so. In fact, I usually say that to people when talking about her. I want some of ya'll to stop getting mad. This always happens in music. It's called "passing the torch". The new school gets something from the old school. Beyonce' isn't trying to be or replace Tina, but in terms of showmanship and all that, I truly think she is.

I'm not gonna say she is the next Tina Turner bcuz like Prb said "Tina is in a league all on her own". Me personally I wouldn't compare the two for the simple fact that they both have a huge amount of talent and they both are great 'in their OWN ways'. Yes Beyonce might remind you of Tina bcuz she IS influenced by her, she has said it a million times....even when she was honoring Tina she said that she looked up to her. In this 'Work It Out video at the end she bust a little James Brown move, and even in her recent concerts I see the influence of Prince, plus she even sampled Michael Jackson. So she is showing all of her influences in her music and performances maybe more of one than the others but all of them are there.

sure she is,why not. i've never been to crazy about tina turner in the first place and i dont think she did nothing so great where some people are acting like its a crime to compare beyonce to her.she basically shaked and gyrated alot, had alot of energy and wore short dresses with high heels..beyonce does all that and she sings better
