The whole frat boy thing wore thin with me very quickly. I'm a bigger fan of the much smarter Paul's Boutique.

Are you into Rozz's Premature Ejaculation? I believe that's what he was doing during this time, but those cassettes are hard to find.

Damn, I used to have these two also. Definitely add 2 Live Crew to my un-favorites list. Salt-N-Pepa--I just feel indifferent about that album. Liked it a lot at the time, but I don't see myself ever needing to hear it again.

ahh..i forgot that lol, premature ejaculation is good. i mean you have to like that experimental ambient kinda of music and i do. yeah, these people at this place called rozzland which is a rozz williams, pay an arm and a leg for those tapes. but you can get them now in lp's i believe or in cd's.

where you ever into shadow project, heltir, gitane and rozz williams, or daucaus karota, rozz williams music is very interesting.

Not a year that I would look at as having an assload of albums I liked, but there's still quite a few. Better list than anything out today. I'll start with the album of that year for me:

Duh. I can't leave out my superhero who released what I think is in the top 5 best albums list of his career. wink

And now the rest:

And many more to come. big grin

There were very few decent albums in 1986. Jesse Johnson's "Shockadelica" and Egyptian Lover's "One Track Mind" comes to mind. Also, The LA Dream Team's album that year was pretty good and so was Trinere's. Other than that, I was mostly into 12 Inches because a lot of the R&B albums were polluted with pop and adult contemporary.

That was a good one also. I'm sure there are two or three others I may have forgetten about. Hell, I've tried to forget those horrible years altogether. lol

In the early 1980s, I have about two or three stacks of 45s for each individual year, a few albums per year, and a whole lot of 12 Inches. From 1985-1989, I have one stack of 45s for all the years combined, very few albums, and about two stacks of 12 Inches. All these are for all the late 80s years combined as opposed to multiple stacks per year in the early 1980s. The late 1980s were some absolutely horrible years and the beginning of the end.

I like Shadow Project. I saw them live back in 1993. I also have the Rozz/Gitane album which isn't bad, but that's about all I like from Rozz (other than his original Christian Death stuff of course). I think I have one Premature Ejaculation song on a comp somewhere. Maybe I'm thinking of the Merry Maladies compilation which is basically a Rozz, Gitane and friends album.

Janet Jackson - Control
Anita Baker - Rapture
Madonna - True Blue

Albums I used to have from that year:

Tina Turner - Break Every Rule

I need to get them again and there are quite a few from what I see that I should get. lol
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
