oh, and as far as image, you could dress as justin for halloween he has crafted an image for himself and works for his success you can't deny that
The Beat It jacket The Purple Rain look The Madonna look In the 1980s, those phrases immediately conjured images to the mainstream. In the cases of Prince and Madonna, it meant Paisley and lace, and lingerie over clothing, respectively. There's no "look" now attached to someone like Timberlake. He has no Thriller jacket or MJ shades (which Usher and others seemed to bring back, a few years ago). He's just Timberlake. So true.Today's artists don't even try to come up with a unique look and style. In the 80s,you had Boy George,Madonna,Michael Jackson,Prince,Rick James,Billy Idol,George Clinton,Tina Turner,Annie Lennox,etc.....artists who had their own individual look. You could be any one of those artists for Halloween and everyone would know what your costume was.If a kid today wanted to be Chris Brown or Usher for Halloween, they wouldn't even have to go buy a costume. They could just throw on the clothes that they already have, lol. Janet: You wrote a book? Who helped you with the big words Chrissy: There are no big words in Jack & Jill.

JD is probably right - the stars of today aren't like the stars of the past - and neither are the Producers.
As for compairing JT to Stevie Wonder - thats wholely unfair as very few people can be compared to Stevie. JT started out in a boy band - a bad boy band at that - but he's learnt his trade well, and now stands out above most of the other pop stars out there. Sure he needs his producers - but MJ needed Quincy and no one's gonna question his talent. I'm sure JT wont be losing any sleep over JD talking all kinds of shit about him. What kind of an attention seeking money grabber releases som cheap ass autobiography in their 30's anyway?

Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones for the most part and Teddy Riley later on The Beatles and George Martin U2 and their producers Madonna and her producers I do not think the fact that Timberlake is dependent on his producers is the main problem that orgers have with him. The distate with Timbaland seems to rise for the most part from the all the rumors and court cases regarding his "borrowing" from other musicians. The fact of the matter is Timberlake is a mediocre singer and dancer. Sure he is better than a number of performers out right now. But I am not sure being better than Hanna Montana or Avril Lavigne is an accomplishment worth lauding. And I agree with you. Jermaine Dupri strikes me as a moron. The modern Quincy Jones? Give me a break. His ego is as irritating as Timberlake's.
