do you think they feel bad??? my sentiments xactly ..no chilisauce leads 2 me saving my money on this project man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Yes. You have to wonder, though, what sort of numbers Damita Jo and 20 Y.O. would have done if they weren't on Virgin. EMI can't sell anything worth a damn. Rumour has it Kylie will be leaving them this year. more of what it would have done had janet kept the mpls funk crew 2gether instead of letting outsiders in 2 make it "hipper" which made the albums suck all 2gether man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

They had a whole Duran Duran month and kept playing their new songs (the first single still appears every so often on the hit station). And they FLOPPED! It's funny though that you listened to "Call on Me" when it came out and it bombed but you ain't heard "Feedback" on the radio and it's climbing up on the charts. Damn, homey... but I feel your pain, lol. Ain't u started requesting? I say give it time. Once it hits the top 40, they'll start playing it probably. I'm saying I don't listen to regular radio at all. I'm wondering what's going on...Is it getting pop and R&B love?

All they had to do was introduce the video, but I guess they said that due to not being able to fool people as to the wedge between Janet and them.

not at all what I was hoping for her I like the fact that the video wasn't what I was expecting. I got a kick out of the fact that it wasn't an all dance video. Less is more, but I'm sure I'm the minority on that. Oh, was Janet suppose to be dressed like CAT WOMAN a character that Eartha Kitt portrayed in the series BATMAN? She sure as hell looks like her/it at the beginning when singing,"Do you like my style" with the shades on.

I love that pose and I love the clothes she's wearing! I'm going to H&M or Forever 21 and by the under $30 version and wear it to the Lenny Kravitz concert. I guess I have to buy a ponytail as well to really pull off the Janet look.

I like when she's fierce and has attitude moreso than when she's sweet and sensual like she was ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, COME BACK TO ME, TOGETHER AGAIN (go deeper remix).

The only way I'm noticing that it's getting pop and R&B love is that it's now at the top 40 on all mainstream radio formats (POP, RHYTHMIC and URBAN) and it's currently #52 in its second week on the Hot 100, #38 on the Pop 100 and #66 on the R&B chart on its first week.

You don't waste any time with the info, do you VoicesCarry? I love that! I'm not playin'! This looks like a shot from the janet. tour book. Can't believe she's 41. I'm actually not sure if this is from Billboard or not, but definitely a new pic.

midnightmover said: The beats and lyrics that these contributors initially presented to Jackson were, serendipitously, true to her choreography-based roots.
"I never had to tell them, 'No, this is what it should be,' " says Jackson, who stopped rehearsing for a tour in support of "20 Y.O." to focus on the album. She was also in the middle of shooting her third starring film role, in Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married?," which opened at No. 1 at the box office last year. "I felt like they really did their homework and whatever they felt a Janet song was—rock, pop or urban—they hit it right on the nose." "It sounds like songs that were written for her, and I think that's a beautiful thing," Dupri says. "You could tell that these records were made for Janet." Looks like they're making no secret of the fact that these songs were all basically handed to Janet and she just sang them. Hopefully, this will help put to rest any remaining ideas that she is/was "an artist". Pumpkin, unless you have a person that is generally known for writing and producing/co-producing their own material in the industry, that's generally how it's done for EVERYBODY on the music charts...and unfortunately for lack of a better term administrative reps at a label will always refer to their "interest" as an artist

This was an illusion (or a lie depending on how generous you want to be). The good thing is that the truth is being made more obvious by this project. Janet is a product. I have no problem with that, but for a long time, she was wrongly portrayed as something else. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I have no problem with that, but for a long time, she was wrongly portrayed as something else. The thing is one has to look at something and take it for what it truly is. If one is paying attention to begin with, that it. When you really get down to it, people saw what they wanted to see. People believed in what they wanted to believe in and heard what they wanted to hear. Now, all of a sudden when an artist albeit any artist runs into/has some trouble it is thought,'oh, well they weren't what i thought. Or they weren't this or that.' Fact is, people back in the day just like people of today see, hear and believe what they want to see hear and believe. It's all about perception and prospective where understanding is concern.
