The Rock Wit U video is HAWT! It's her best video in a minute. It fits the song perfectly and it makes me love the song even more. Janet is really working it now! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Janet Sets Sights On Fall Tour, Book March 07, 2008, 12:00 AM ET Gary Graff, Detroit With her sixth No. 1 album in the bag, Janet Jackson next has a tour and a book ready to roll this year. The singer, whose "Discipline" debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 181,000, anticipates a mid-September launch for a trip that will take her around the world. "We're talking about America first," Jackson tells Billboard.com, "but I think we're going all over. I think I'm going to go back to Australia, back to Africa, obviously go to Asia, go to Europe for sure." Jackson says fans can expect something "big -- it's always been big" and that some ideas may come from a tour she was planning to support 2006's "20 Y.O." before her new label, Island, suggested she instead return to the studio to make another album. "I'll probably tweak things from the last stage and stuff I had prepared for everyone," Jackson says. "It'll be an uptempo, upbeat show. I would love to perform every single I've had, but that's a pretty long show. I don't want people to be bored to tears." Jackson adds that seven years after her last tour, she's anxious to get back on the boards. "I have missed it, and it means a great deal to me," she says. "When I'm creating music or singing the music (in the studio), I think about the stage performance. I think about the tour. The idea starts that early on for me. And I love being able to see the sea of faces, to have that connection, to feel that love. That's exciting for me." Some time during the tour Jackson also hopes to roll out a book about her weight issues that she's co-writing with her nutritionist, David Allen. A title and publication details are expected to be announced soon, but Jackson says the idea for the book was inspired by her fans. "Everybody asks me -- men, women -- how did I do it?" she says. "Even young people will come up to me and they have an issue with their weight and they're very concerned. So it's basically my journey; it's not just this sterile, weight loss and how to do it book, but my journey even from when I was a kid ... being an emotional eater. It takes you through those moments in my life up 'til now and what worked for me. And hopefully within that, if it doesn't work for them, maybe they'll find something that does work for them and a nice place for them to be content with who they are." Jackson says she hopes to have the book out by "the latter part of this year. That's what we're pushing for."

CONTROLLING THE CHART: Janet Jackson's first album for Island is her 11th to chart on The Billboard 200 and her sixth to lead the list. "Discipline" is her first No. 1 set in seven years; she last visited the penthouse in May 2001 with "All for You." Janet's next two releases, "Damita Jo" and "20 Y.O.," both peaked at No. 2. "Discipline" joins a list of chart-topping titles that includes: "Control," two weeks (1986) "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814," four weeks (1989) "janet.," six weeks (1993) "The Velvet Rope," one week (1997) "All for You," one week (2001) "Discipline," one week to date (2008) Janet's eponymous debut LP, released in 1982, peaked at No. 63. Two years later, "Dream Street" drove to No. 147. Then came "Control," the first of nine albums in a row to make the top three of The Billboard 200. With "Discipline" on the chart, Jackson's chart span expands to 23 years, four months and three weeks. While a second and third single from this latest CD have gone to radio, the first single, "Feedback," surges on the Hot 100 this week, thanks to the release of the album and the availability of a digital download. After peaking at No. 51 the week of Jan. 26, "Feedback" loops 53-19, making it Janet's highest-charting title on the Hot 100 since "Someone to Call My Lover" sailed to No. 3 the week of Sept. 1, 2001. "Feedback" is Janet's 39th charted single and her 29th to reach the top 20. If "Feedback" has enough power to reach the top 10, it will be Janet's 28th song to reach that elite portion of the chart.

It will surely be read by people who might not be Janet fans....Some Janet fans, however, probably will not rush out to get it. I wonder what the tour will be. Sounds like a bit more of the same. She said she would like to do every single she's done but she doesn't want to bore people...No that would be awesome! If you don't want to bore people, get rid of that "Alright" section (as well as the childlike section...unless do you "Enjoy" during that). Is that a fan favorite. I liked "Alright" when it came out but damn! I wonder if DJ and 20YO will get any love. I know I'm reading myself but I hope at least "All Nite" gets thrown in the mix!

Missy needs a new album. I got quite spoiled having a new album from her every year or every other year. Her last one was 2005. She's been making noise with other people since then (ie. producing for Keyshia Cole) but an opening spot for Janet could be the perfect place to promote a new album.

Janet. Damn, three strikes in a row? Im so hurt that "Discipline" hasnt moved me although I've played the album like 3 times back to back. The only song worth it I believe is: "Cant B Good" "Feedback" of course (good job Darkchild!) and "LUV" maybe is growing on me "Rock With U" isnt bad but Im like so so on it. This is the first Janet album I listened to WITHOUT buying it first.... &
