Janet is taping Tyra on 2/25 in addition to her other promo commitments over the next few weeks. Anybody know where "Feedback" peaked...any chance it could still hit the Top 40? It's at 29 on Itunes and I always hear it on the radio (it's the R&B stations on Sirius, but that is something). I want to listen to it but will wait until Feb 26th. I hope to be able to get the deluxe edition at Meijer on midnight, but who knows. Anybody know if any stores have specials/extras that come with the album? I remember there was a lot of offers around "20 YO" (and if you bought it at Target to get a presale offer for tickets...that sucks!). So looking forward to this album!

It's A Wrap For Janet's New CD. "Discipline" Has Leaked All Over The Internet PLEASE forget for a second that Janet hasn't been doing that much press for her project. Let's also forget that she has yet to find a hit single, and DON'T forget the fact that though her album hits stores next Tuesday the tone seems to be complete non-interest with exception to the "kids." When will she STOP trying to make that comeback? But, even if you managed to forget all that it's going to be hard to forget that Janet's new album "Discipline" is all over THE internet. And don't forget the eight MUSIC tracks that have already leaked earlier this week. That's right people I am here to report that Ms. Jackson's new project in its entirety is on two music BLOG sites as of now. Of course I will not say where they are but my I'm sure big internet music heads know where to find it. I put some clues here in this blog to assist you in your search. I predict that Janet's newest album probably won't even crack the top 10 on the Billboard charts. Got A Hot Tip:thestreetzalwaystalk@gmail.com http://blogs.sohh.com/ya_...for_1.html That's stupid. Janet is still good enough for a Top Ten debut, especially in this slow market! The argument can kind of be supported by Jenifer Lopez's weak debut that ended up going no where. This doesn't even cite that...It's not a real arguement and who is this person? And Janet is not J. Lo and has a loyal enough audience that will buy any album she releases...and especially this one from the sounds of it!

I'm listening to it now and I must say, I'm liking what I've heard so far. Can't B Good, which is kick ass, sounds like something Michael Jackson would have done in 1979 for Off the Wall. It's real smooth. There is more to come!
Oh, I didn't hear any responses from people on The Wendy Williams Experience about Luv, but with that said, I missed about the last hour and a half of the show cause of a meeting I went to tonight. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I LOVE the new cd! In this case, the availability of a free download (to sample the sound) has just sold me on buying the cd on Tuesday. Hot, like hot wings with hot chocolate in hell. Ah huh!

I didn’t like it too much when I first heard it. It’s a little too dark but it’s growing on me. On my playlist it’s followed by Love Scene and helps to set the mood but on its own it’s I don’t know. Still undecided if I would add it to my Janet Love Mix. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Well, I've heard the whole thing and this is my take on the CD: This album has truly brought me back as a BIG Janet fan again! It's her best album since The Velvet Rope. I think with repeated listens, it may be her best since janet., seriously. It's a HOT album. It's like Janet found her way home with this one. She's a dance/pop artist and she's finally realized this on this CD. I found myself dancing on a few tracks. It's absolutely the best album she's done this decade. I'm too excited about this CD.
Plus, she shut me up on this one too. She really did need some new blood on this CD and the production and the producers found a way to make a consistantly banging CD! I think I may need to find a way to go see Janet when she comes here to NYC! I'm so happy about Discipline! [Edited 2/21/08 6:21am] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". [Edited 2/21/08 6:21am] February 21, 2008 -- JANET Jackson is taking the marriage plunge again. Although the pop star has remained mum on her engagement to rapper Jermaine Dupri, she recently hit up designers like Badgley Mischka, asking for bridal gown samples. "She's preparing for her private nuptials," said one source. Good luck, Janet! Just last week, she confessed to Parade magazine, "After two divorces, I thought I was jinxed. Maybe marriage isn't for me? Maybe it's my fault it never works." Straight Jacket Funk Affair

My 2 cents...
First off, I love the intro track. So cool. "Feedback", the single, is awesome. Such a club banger. It's got a bit of MJ's "Ghosts" in there, but for the most part this is a true Janet song. I love it. "LUV" is great. I like it almost as much as "Feedback". OMG, I just found out it's produced by Darkchild. Same with Feedback. That's...interesting. I never really thought much of Darkchild as a songwriter/producer judging by his work on Vince, but these two songs are amazing. Maybe MJ working with Darkchild on his upcoming album wouldn't be so bad. "Rollercoaster" has great lyrics. But it's the first song first far that I haven't been blown away by. lol @ Bathroom Break "Rock With U" sounds like a tribute to her brother IMO. From the start, "I want to rock with you", those are lyrics straight out of Michael's song with the same name. This is a cool song and I definitely think it's some sort of a gesture to Michael. Things just keep getting better and better. I'm loving "2nite". Such an addictive synth part and guitar. Damn, this song is good. It sounds very OTW to be honest. This is my favourite so far. wow. "Can't Be Good" is freaking me out. She sounds exactly like Michael in parts. Lol, seriously. Is that Michael? Maybe Janet was sick that day and Michael filled in for her. lol. I know they are brother and sister but damn. Particularly at the start, she sounds exactly like Michael. Come to think of it, this reminds me so much of an MJ song but I can't put my finger on which one. Hmm. Does this remind anyone else of any MJ songs? I love the guitar at the start and end of "Never Letchu Go". This is such a classic R&B/pop ballad. Reminds me of those 90s R&B/pop ballads. But to be honest, this hasn't wowed me like "Feedback", "LUV" and "2nite". It's nice. Just nice. "Greatest X" is amazing. It's absolutely heart-wrenching. I am actually speechless after this song. Give me a few more listens to process a better response to this song. lol. So Much Betta is interesting. The distorted voice is cool. I love the part around the 1 minute mark and right at the end. Now that's cool. Missy's rapping in "The 1" is so good. I love the percussion in this song too. As well as the orchestra hit synths. The "really wanna ah" stuff is cool. Im sorry to say, but I'm up to "What's Ur Name" and I'm starting to lose interest. Don't worry, false alarm. "The Meaning" interlude grabbed my attention and then it led into the maybe the best song on the album, "Discipline". It's very powerful. So sexy in such a different way. Damn, there's even orgasm noises. So I'm now listening to "Curtains", a decent album closer. Time to recap on the album. This is a great album that has reignited my love for Janet. I've definitely enjoyed this album more than her previous few attempts. My favourite song on the album is, on my second listen, 2nite. I probably give this album a 7.5/10. In short, I really like it.

I really was not expecting such a great album from Janet! I wasn't either. I gave up on Janet before 2007 ended, so when I heard Feedback, it solidfied that I was going to buy the album. Then after hearing the album last night and having just about every song be good to great, I'm shocked and amazed! It's just plain HAWT! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". Rock With U sounds like it could have been from a Naked Music release. I’m so glad she’s dipped a little into some underground downtempo type grooves. This is sorta the direction I was hoping she would go in as she matured. Smooth dance tracks. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
