One interesting little tidbit bout "Humpin".....back in the day, we noticed that the very early pressings of Gap III contained a slightly different version of this track than later pressings. I have never been able to find out why Gap did this..as the 2 versions are fairly similar (and I like the first one better). It's the later version that has survived on compilations, etc. Anybody know anything about this? Funk Is It's Own Reward

There is a list of Gap band songs that I cannot live my musical life without. And that list goes a litto sump'n like dis..... -Burn Rubber -Don't Believe You Wanna Get Up & Dance (Oops!) -Humpin' -Party Train -You Dropped A Bomb On Me -Early In The Morning -Yearning For Your Love All in the long versions. Hey, you what? I completely forgot to put I'm Ready on that list. So, I ask now that I be allowed to revise it: -Burn Rubber -Don't Believe You Wanna Get Up & Dance (Oops!) -Humpin' -Party Train -You Dropped A Bomb On Me -Early In The Morning -I'm Ready -Yearning For Your Love I apologize for any trouble that this change may cause any of my fellow Music:NP orgers out there. But, as it is obvious, any adjustments that were required was well worth it. Unlike before, the integrity of my list is sound.
