Siedah Garrett - "Everchanging times" I prefer this version, rather than the more well-known hit by Aretha Franklin & Michael McDonald.

I knew I knew the song but it didn't 'click' until the line about the clock up on the wall. I could sooo kick myself for losing/selling her album. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

"Kiss of life" is a good album, you should find another copy on ebay My favorite track from the album is "Nobody does me". Remember that one? Diane Schuur also recorded that song...

That was my favorite too. I’m so sad I can’t hear it at will anymore. [Edited 1/9/08 10:26am] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I absolutely BLASTED her for her Brand New Heavies stint but having had the time to get over the loss of N'Dea Davenport and revisting the Shelter album, she really did a great job. Very strong songwriting and no her vocals will never be as superb as N'Dea but she really did a great job. As for this song, never heard it 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Went thru the exact same thing and feel the exact same way (and I love N'Dea). Actually Shelter became one of my favorite albums that year and by BNH. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I despised it for a very long time and about 8/9 years later found it in a box and decided to give it a spin and I was like This is nowhere near as bad as I remembered! Spun it a few times and really really loved it. My bitterness over N'Dea leaving the band clouded my ears. Obviously It's a great album 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Funny thing is, N'Dea came back but I have not been able to get into their latest album. It’s okay but I don’t love it. I can pick up Shelter whenever and be in heaven. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

You know, it took me more than a few minutes to find my footing with the new album. Having seen them perform the material live, changed that up for me quite a bit. I am finally setting to write about the experience (I got to talk to her!) and I will let you know when I post it. Or just keep watch for the Dream Come True thread It'll be up by the end of the week 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I got up to the window to enter the venue and there was no. show. I can’t tell you upset I was. I had a friend in from out of town and we were both so excited to see them. I’ve seen them a few times before but it’s been several years and I was really looking forward to it. When they rescheduled, my friend couldn’t come back and I think I had something to do on that date… I was very salty after that. I'll be looking for your Dream Come True thread. I caught N'Dea's solo performance and she held her own. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Well this was the first and only time I ever saw them so I would have jumped off a cliff if that happened 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
