NKOTB/Jordan Knight Appreciation Thread!

I've been on a big New Kids kick lately. The hanging Tough Album is bumpin. One hot track that was never released that should have been was "My favorite girl". I love that song. "Please don't go girl" was also a hot slow jam. On Step by Step I love the title track and "Games" and "tonight" was a nice faux Beatles song. One thing I noticed about the Haning Tough album is that Donnie did a lot of the singing which is odd considering he wasn't the best singer. Jordan was! Jordan had a really nice voice and homeboy could dance too. His solo jam "give it to you" was the shit. Should he be out there like JT? I think he's just as good if not better.

The name of this band brings back ma adolescent memories. I was once for a little while in love with Jordan. But i have never been a real NKOTB fan but a lot of my friends were.

Yeah, Give It to You was hot as was the video. Jordan had a nice falsetto. NKOTB's last album had some good tracks on it.

What the hell happened to Jordan's career? I had such high hopes for him after his first album. 'The Fix' was wack. I'm not even considering buying that covers CD. And could someone please tell me why his second album 'Around The World with Jordan Knight' was never released and why Interscope Records dropped him? And then what was he thinking signing up with that creepy perve Lou Pearlman? Jordan is a very talented guy but he has made some baffling, career-killing choices.

wow, i didn't know all of that about his second album but i am confused as to why he didn't blow up as a solo artist. he has so much potential and it's all going to waste. i'd like to see him make a come back.

He could've been laughing at them. I like the song partly because the lyrics are so hilariously bad. lol

Most boy bands were weaksauce but Jordie's remake of P's "I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man" was pretty tight, especially since he made it a slow cut.

Damn, that choreography was so hot. Love Darren.

Anywho, one thing that may have lead to his floundering solo career is that he suffers from severe panic attacks and performance anxiety. He had it all through New Kids and as a solo artist. He has kids now so he’s probably more focused on being a dad.

me too, i've always wondered why he didn't release his second album, especially since the first one went gold and sold more than a million worldwide.

he was only 27 in 1999, still relatively young when he had the great "give it to me" song.

and he was always a great dancer, better than timber fuck and the rest!

in the end, he only released that covers album in 2006, some tracks are quite good.

I think nowadays,he has given up on really trying.

you can't blame him though. he's had all the fame, money when he was a teen, and probably doesn't care whether he sells any more records.

He just loves playing live shows doing all the old nkotb hits.

I'll tell you what though, the last NKOTB album was a fucking great one, especially coming from a boy band with a good two shoes reputation.

There was some killer tracks on that album, some great R&B cuts, and even one by Teddy Riley on there. Looks like NKOTB was way too ahead of its time, the "white" boys going "urban".

Fuckers like timberfuck have come and taken all the credit.

When in reality, he owes every fucking dime to Jordan Knight and co.

jordan is a better singer, and a better dancer than timberfuck. Just a shame he never got his credit like timberfuck does these days.

At least Jordan knight has a great falsetto and has made some proper songs.

Not like white boy Timberfuck who jumped on the urban wagon as soon as it was available.

Robin Thicke produced almost the entire Jordan Knight CD along with Jam & Lewis, it proved that Jordan has the potential for really great music. That CD is still in rotation after 9 years. I can't even bring myself to listen to snippets of his newer stuff, he's got to get with the right producers if he wants to be a success again. Even though his time may have passed already. He was such a joy for me from 88-92 and then again with his 1st solo record.

"please dont go girl" shits all over "is this the end". I hate that song. Ralph sounds like a chipmunk.
