Not the best Janet video, maybe because I don't see how it goes with the song. She did that similar look on that Busta Rhymes duet, so she's kinda recycling that look from that video IMO. Plus, not as much dancing as I'm used to from Janet on such an up-tempo song, but still I'm super excited about the new album and will be at the wrecka stow to pick up my copy the day it drops. The song is still the hotness. cool

lol It's funny because people were saying this same shit about Mariah after Glitter and than Emancipation of MiMi dropped and those fuckers lost their damned minds because she proved them wrong. I don't count anybody out just because they have an album that doesn't sell as much as their first record. Even Britney has a shot at coming back because she still has a large fanbase. As long as an artist has more than 1 million fans worldwide, they can easily go platinum and still be relevant to some extent.

I know...but shit has gotten critical in here when it comes to Janet Jackson.. just like Beyonce... loved Deja Vu hated the video, hated Ring the alarm and the video but i just waited til i saw something that i liked and gave her props... this is not the 80's or the 90's... Shit everything has already been done in Videos

Well, I like the ending where she is in a red suit playing with the balls. That was cool.

The rest... I am not sure. I wish there was more dancing or more of a storyline. But better than "All Nite (Don't Stop)" and "So Exicted" music videos.

Thank you! You are 100% right. Nothing nowadays is new. Everything has been done, so nobody should be giving any new artist kudos for recycling sounds that came out over 10 years ago. I have to commend Janet on this video, because even though I don't get what's really going on and don't see how it goes with the song, it's creative and unexpected. It's a change of pace for her because I think a lot of people expected her to be doing a lot of dancing because of the way the song sounds and she didn't. She's criticized for not changing her sound and when she finally does, people bitch. She's criticized for being a 40 year old woman who continues to play the sex kitten image, but this video shows a more covered Janet. I don't get it, so I say screw it; and continue to jam out to "Feedback". cool music

Well as i said before, despite MIMI's success it wasnt anything different than she had been doing, it basically was Charmbracelet without a cover song, she just switched up rappers and got lucky that "we Belong Together" caught on, cause lets face it, "Shake it Off" is possibly her worst song EVER, and the only reason it hit, was because of the aftermath of "We Belong Together", also, im not sure everyone can see this, but these so called comebacks are bought and sold, Mariah didnt get lucky, that was an investment made by def jam, you know like when a Big Budget movie has to HIT, well that was the deal here, and dont think its any different than with Janet this year, and with Prince in 2004. Im tired of hearing "oh theyre back", Bullshit, they are doing the same thing they've been doing all along, do we really think Prince's "Musicology" was a "comeback" album? No way the label invested in getting him airtime anywhere, bankrolled his tour and his media coverage to a point where "he was cool again" well its the same thing that happend with Mariah and now again with Janet, same routine different artist.

True, but I do believe it was luck to an extent because not many people put that much attention into ballads and; yes, "Shake It Off" was a weak song to release as a single. I was amazed that a ballad was able to make this album a success, but I guess people love Mariah ballads. shrug Mariah has been doing the same sound for some years now and when 'MiMi' hit big it was called a 'comeback', but where did she go really? She had just done 'Charmbracelet' 3 years prior to releasing "Mimi". Same goes for Prince because he had just done 'One Night Alone' 2 years before dropping 'Musicology'. I guess he made a popularity comeback, because he was never gone. Neither of them really were. The only artists that have released an album recently that I use the word "comeback" on was the Eagles; and that's only because they hadn't made a studio album in 30 years. If it's been less than 5 years between albums, than calling a new record a 'comeback' is a stretch IMO. It's just a new album, that's it. But, Janet's new album hasn't dropped yet and it could have lackluster sales because some people still don't like her due to the Superbowl incident that happened 3 years ago. It's all about label support, good promotion, and smart marketing after everything is all said and done.

I don't know if u guys noticed this or not, but this video uses a similar concept to "Can You Feel It." Especially how she travels throughout the galaxy and dances on the milky way.

She looks good in the video, but it's not the best Janet video by a long shot. I wish she would leave the computer generated effects alone. She has used them so much until I am just sick of it.

No Way. Scream is one of the all time best vids. Still, anything would look nice with this track. Track is nice.

Well, Scream is all over the place.

However, it has awesome special effects -- much cooler to look at than the music video for Feedback.

I like Feedback. Better than the whole "Let's dance in a club-like setting and rub against each other" concept.

Janet has her strongest 1-week total ever on the Hot Digital Songs chart, shooting from 116-42.

116 42 JANET FEEDBACK 44302 39 31771 76073

This will probably qualify her for Greatest Gainer/Sales. She is one of the few songs on the Top 50 to experience increased sales in this post-holiday week.
