I think Jazzanova used a sample of this song too, for "Love and You & I." I can't say for certain, but that long note on "love" in the chorus sounds like the one Jazzanova lifted.

Like a lot of hip-hop fans, I discovered this track while watching the Beat of J. Dilla from his "Donuts" album and this song was sampled as "Two Can Win" so I had to find the original. Early Sylvers are the best!

Hell yeah, I didn't care for them to much after they got off into disco in the latter half of the 70's but their joints from 72-74 went off.

So true, a lot of Sylvers material written in the latter half of the 70's were former J5 writers/producers. Freddie Perren, who I believe did Hallelujah Day and Skywriter (not including his work with the Corporation) and did Boogie Fever and Hot Line and High School Dance.
