Jiani sang the vocals for the song, but she was unable to take credit for the recording, as she had a contractual conflict. In 1982, another version of "Get on Up and Do it Again" was recorded by former "Mizz" lead singer Michele Mills and included in an album by the same name released on the RFC/Atlantic label. Mills performed songs from the album under the name SUZY Q for a number of years.
