I'm getting into Billy Joel lately and I forgot about that one. And apparently so did he since it's not on his "Ulitmate Collection"...maybe it has something to do with Disney not lending it out but I'm almost certian Elton has his "Lion King" tracks on his sets? Maybe Billy didn't excatly think it reflected what he was doing.

Well it wasn't really an actual release it was just part of the movie. The Lion King soundtrack was released as an album and smashed all kinds of animated soundtrack records.

Another reason is that Elton kep the creative rights and Billy gave them to Disney.

You can get the song off the films soundtrack, though oddly, if I remember correctly, its missing a verse that is otherwise present in the film?

I love that song. It was co-written by Dan Hartman.

Billy's voice in that film was cool. Good casting.
