Trying to find a song I heard on the radio. Just like Prince's music. "FOUND IT" I heard a song on a r&b station by a group that sounded just like prince. Not necessary the voices but the beats and the whole song format. The problem is the station didn't say the makers of the song. The only thing I can go on is the chorus kept saying something about " my favorite scary movie" or "my favorite movie". I know that is not much to go on but this song was brilliant. If I somehow find out what it is I will post it. The song sounded like it came out around 77 or 78.Sounded like O Brien mixed with Ray Parker Jr. Yeah, I know weird. [Edited 1/7/08 18:29pm]

Man, this song was tight. I heard it on 105.9fm in DC. It had a sound like Prince does with his extended versions. Once I find out what it is someone is going to be like "Oh yeah, you talking about that song."

I've been a fan of Steely Dan for a long time. I have this compilation of some of their best work and highly recommend it.

Glad you found it but... If anything Prince might sound like Steely Dan. It's from the 1977 album Aja. Classic stuff, and Peg is one of their best!
But now that I think about it, some of the production on Prince sounds similar.

No- I have heard Peg a million times and I don't hear I Wanna Be Your Lover?
They both came out in the 70's and I think that has more to do with it. I definity think Steely Dan was influence on P. ----- sosgemini said: Peg = I Wanna Be Your Lover?

Love "Peg"!! It's my favorite Steely Dan song! I think the guest appearance by Michael McDonald on background is genius!! This song makes me move. Never heard Prince in it though...
