"The Comfort Zone" - Vanessa Williams DAMN forgot how good this album is!!! Even though I was in the 4th grade when this came out, my mom played the album out and i've been hooked ever since!!! This is the perfect album to get the makeup right and put on the sexiest outfit to be fashionably late to a party only to walk in like you are on the runway!!! I love this album!!! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

i hated when Vanessa ditched the dance grooves for the whitney-lite stuff...her first two albums had the perfect mix. Space for sale...

I so agree with you completely!!!! After this album, she sort of lost me (even as a little girl, lol!!!). And with this album just looking at how boring the cover was made me not even want to listen to it. Whoever chose this as the album cover should had been shot and maimed: I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

She is no doubt a beautiful woman though...I wish I had her figure...and after what 4 kids she's still gorgeous!!! It's like she's a mother that just so happens to be an actress, dancer, and singer. I really admire her.

Yeah, I'll never understand that either. Especially with the remix of Work to Do. Maybe she always wanted to do the AC jazzy slow stuff but the label wanted her to tracks like The Right Stuff. But I do think I read where she said it wasn't a conscious decision. She just kept leaning more that way and got good responses from it. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I think "Higher ground" is a better album, but this also has some good songs, mainly "What will i tell my heart"
And yeah, she is STUNNING!!

"The Comfort Zone" and her cover of "Work to Do" are my favorites. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I love, "I've got work to do"...and I love the..."Harvest for the World" and....L.O.V.E.
I Love Vanessa, really...I came up with this idea of her playing a kinda evil "Snow Queen" for Disney...She's evil, from Jealousy, however the, antagonist that you love and sympathize with.... Vanessa does a great job in "Ugly Betty." Love ya, "Sister Moon." "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

Whoever chose this as the album cover should had been shot and maimed: I didn't care for this album either. She was very Celine/Whitney on this one. The only songs I enjoyed were "Betcha Never" and "Constantly". The rest could have been locked up in a vault somewhere. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Exactly (especially the debut album). A slow jam like Darling I kicks the living hell out of Save The Best For Last.

I think her transition into the kind of music that you find on the Sweetest CD, is fine. People must grow into new things...If you expected her to continue to sing dance grooves, then how would she challenge herself as an artist. For her to sing the same type of music, over and over again, would be very boring.... "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

All it was is that she got a taste of crossover money and liked it. Her follow up album, Next, was even worse than The Sweetest Days. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Sweetest, tried to touch on different genres. Next, sounded like she was trying to please the people who did not like, Sweetest. I love the tribute to Ella, which happens to be a distant relative of hers. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Whoever chose this as the album cover should had been shot and maimed: I've never seen a less hip looking album cover from someone who was still realtively young and could have still reached a young audience. That title song reflects the cover..."Like a Warm Sweater"...that should have been the title. Blah! "The Comfort Zone" was hot. It's the only studio album I have from her and I'm very happy with it. A nice mix of dance and ballads.

I don't think that even charted but it was a lot of fun and had a good video. It also was missing from her proper hits set called "The First Ten Years", probably because the label kept wanting to push her in the safe AC direction, especially since "Happiness", as good as it was, didn't make a chart or sales impact.
