This week's episode was great from start to finish. Brass Construction got off, Peaches and Herb turned it out, the song selections were great, and the dancers were throwing down hard too.

I loved this episode primarily because of brass construction whom was
very underrated. I know people don't think of this group of having a bunch
of hit singles but if you watched the show don cornelius presented the band
with a gold plaque for brass construction 4 which was the 4th consecutive gold
album for the band. It just goes to show that chart success don't necessarily
make the band particularly if the band has a loyal following and the band is
tight. I always liked the jam get up. I always said that while they weren't a household name like ewf, ohio players, or parliament that their brass section
didn't take a backseat to nobody. Randy Muller was a brilliant singer, musician, and producer for the group as well as other artists like skyy, b.t express, cameron, etc. He currently has a nice jazz cd out that can be purchased on line. Peaches & Herb were cool for this one album. I am not familiar with their 60's stuff.

Great episode, wasn't Jeffery Daniel already with Shalamar by the time this episode was shot? I was shocked to see him still doing his thing on there that year

Cool episode. Back then I used to wonder if Herb was really seeing Peaches (Linda, I think that was her name) on the side. His "love" act seemed a little too real. His wife was the 1st "Peaches" back in the 60's.

Herb is still doing it today with a new (and way younger) Peaches. I wonder what happened to Linda?

Hi y'all! OK, Herb was not involved with or married to any of the Peaches. He was married to another woman before he even started with the first one and remains married to her today!
The original Peaches, Francine Barker, is the one that died a couple of years ago. (She, too, was married to someone else during the first Peaches and Herb incarnation) She had retired from singing long ago and had been ill for some time. Linda Green is still alive and well. In fact, I actually saw her several months ago with some of her family members. I know she lives in Cali, but I don't know what she's doing.
Herb does have a new (as you said, much younger) Peaches. He remains the only constant in the duo! They seem able to maintain the Peaches and Herb sound, though. They also continue to give the impression that they are a couple when they are performing, but I'm pretty confident that it's strictly a professional relationship.
