Breaking News: Cops and Ambulance at Britney's house http://www.eonline.com/ne...6a473cff06
When it rains, it pours. Los Angeles police were called to Britney Spears' Beverly Hills home Thursday night to resolve what authorities have deemed a "custodial dispute" involving her and Kevin Federline's two children. The cops were still there at 10:30 p.m. when an ambulance, a firetruck, a police helicopter and, of course, the press rolled up behind them. LAPD spokesman Officer Jason Lee couldn't say who originally called the police, but he said the call was in reference to as "family custodial dispute that we are trying to resolve…peacefully by court order," Lee said. Us Weekly's Website reported that the clash in question occurred when Federline's bodyguards arrived at Spears' house this evening to retrieve toddlers Sean Preston and Jayden James, and Spears refused to hand the boys over. "In a normal case when someone shows up with a certified court order saying the kids need to be somewhere else, the police see to it that the order is obeyed. But that is in a normal case," Spears' soon-to-be former family attorney told Us. The Beverly Hills lawyer filed a motion Wednesday to have himself relieved as Spears' council, citing a "breakdown in communication." The troubled pop star gets to see her sons three times a week under the terms of her current custody arrangement with Federline. She lost custody to her ex in October. Breaking news, more to come. Cops were called to the popnightmare's home in Beverly Hills this evening after she reportedly refused to return custody of her two kids back over to their father's bodyguard. Oh the insanity of it all! "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I hope this isn´t true and if it is.... "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Spears Taken In Ambulance After Standoff
Billboard.com 1/4/08 The troubled life of Britney Spears added a new chapter when the intoxicated pop star was whisked away in an ambulance after police were called to her house to help end a nearly three-hour custody standoff involving her young sons. The 26-year-old singer was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Entertainment Tonight reported. Cedars spokeswoman Simi Singer said she could neither confirm nor deny the report, citing patient confidentiality laws. Officer Jason Lee of the Los Angeles Police Department told City News Service that Spears appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. He declined to elaborate. No injuries were reported. Spears was conscious late last night (Jan. 3) when paramedics took her out of her home in a gurney. Several police cars escorted the ambulance out of the neighborhood, followed by dozens of paparazzi. Officers were called to Spears' house around 8 p.m. to respond to the custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline over their sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, Lee said. By about 10:30 p.m., six police cars, two ambulances and a fire truck had entered the gated-community that includes Spears' house. Several police cars were seen in the area earlier in the night. Spears turned over the children around 10:50 p.m., Lee said. Spears and Federline have been involved in a long and very public custody battle. Federline has temporary custody of the children because Spears, who has limited visitation rights, has defied court orders. The two were married in October 2004 and divorced in July. Earlier Thursday, Spears appeared for a deposition in her custody dispute. Spears was deposed for just 14 minutes, Federline attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told reporters after Spears left. Spears called in sick for a Dec. 12 court-ordered deposition, but was photographed that day driving with a friend. She also didn't show up for a session Wednesday, Kaplan said. Spears' attorneys from the firm Trope and Trope on Wednesday filed a court motion asking to be relieved due to a "breakdown" in communication with their client. Kaplan said Spears' attorneys were present for what became a very abbreviated session, which had been scheduled to last two hours. "You can imagine in 14 minutes there's not a lot of time to develop questions," he said. Kaplan said another deposition would be scheduled.
