So if the Grammies consider these POP albums how come POP radio would never play them here?? Yet another double standard, but scanning over some past WINNERS of "Pop album of the Year", its strange because none of them can get POP play. So if the Grammies which is decided by the "industry" nominates them, than how come "radio" which the industry controls, cant play them. Some of the past winners Joni Mitchell,Brian Wilson and this years most likely winner Paul McCartney, to me this award has become the "sorry for no play, but the album is great" award. Can U imagine turning on a Top 40 station and hearing a new song from Joni Mitchell or Brian Wilson, or even Paul McCartney? No because labels dont want it heard, because they cant market them to 14 year olds, who arent buying music anyway as we all know by now. This is why the Grammy show doesnt even telecast 95% of the awards, because they dont want you seeing anything but what they pay for you to see.
