Prince sang his ASS off doing this song...nod

Prince's version by a mile...
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

The Delfonics. I will admit, I never knew the J5 did a cover of this song but I'm sure The Delfonics still did it better. As much as I love Prince, this is one of Prince's worse covers, hell his worse songs. His version makes me wanna barf Too damm sweet for me. ill

Well, I think it starts out pretty rough -- with what is possibly little Mike's worst vocal performance -- but it gets better when it gets higher right before the chorus ("I don't even...").

Well, he seems fallible, which is different from his usually stellar performances. The beginning is just way too stilted for my taste.

First of all! I love that song! I knew Prince's version and the Jackson 5's version! I only heard the Delfonics' version today for the first time! While I like Prince's and the Delfonic's version, there is no question to me that I think the J5's version is the best!
