One Of The Best Gems Out Of Patrice Rushen's Bag - "You Remind Me" From her BEST album Straight From The Heart of 1982....
The fender rhodes solo is a killer she's a beast of a keyboardist. If my memory serves me correctly, she played all the instruments in that song(minus the additional background vocals by another vocalists). [Edited 1/1/08 20:03pm]

I WAS LISTENING TO THIS TODAY!
I love this one and Haven't You Heard "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Sure was. I think Patrice Rushen played the instruments in that keyboard synth. I heard she played keyboard bass or whatever it's called on this. That girl is BEYOND talented. She's a musical BEAST, chile!

The thing I love about Trice is, she presented an impressive line-up of some ROUGH ass musicians playing in her albums.
Exactly like what Don Blackman did with his 82's self-titled album, when he made all the musicians from the Jamaica State scene do their thing in his album. You have to be some bad over-confident motherfucker when you surround yourself with greatness all around you

IMO, she doesn't get the credit she deserves.
