The only hope this album has is...

A TV Special about Thriller's Impact
B.E.T. / MTV/ VH-1 Doing a Michael Jackson Day
Michael Doing an Exclusive One on One Interview
Michael Performing Live

How likely are any of those to happen?

He shoulda coughed up the money for his own songs. Even back then he was among the wealthiest entertainers.

It's good in the sense that it's supposed to be a take on the song based on today's music scene. If the song was new yall know you bitches would be saying it was hot gawddammit.

Actually, bitch, I wouldn't. I'm not too keen on today's pop scene.

It actually improved the original version.....and that's not saying much

I hate it. I actually loved the smooth voacals and lush music on the original. This is loud, overbearing, the rap is unnecassary.....next.

I'm not fond of the original. The demo, which was used for this remix and is going to be on the CD single, is way better with a fuller and more uptempo arrangement

Ummm... The Girl Is Mine was a #2 pop hit on the US chart and a #1 R&B hit. That's pretty big. wink

My bad..but I'm pretty sure I remember reading something like it didn't perform as well as expected. Maybe it was, it didn't stay on the charts as long as expected. I'll look it up. reading

Either way, it has nothin' on the big 3!

Thriller
Beat It
Billie Jean

It peaked higher than "Thriller."

though it managed to chart higher than the title track *before* this album was considered hot and didn't have a pull-out-all-the-stops short film as a video behind it. hmmm

The only thing I like about TGIM 2008 is the drum machine programming. But I can imagine this being a minor hit for the strip clubs.
