Madonna and Mariah lose Hot 100 streaks; Mariah Confirms "Heat"

Well Madonna and Mariah fans, U can share something this season, this was the first year since 1983 (Madonna) and 1990 (Mariah) that either Lady hasnt logged a single week on the Hot 100. Of course both failed to reach the leader which is Elton John whos streak ran from 1969-1999, actually his was at least having a Top 40 single 30 years in a row, which will never be broken.

This clearly shows the "slowing down" in output from labels, Universal has a 10-15% roster cut and a 20-25% release cut planned for the year to go against the downward trend of music/cd sales, which came close to 30% to the previous year which was already down 15-20%.

And with that Mariah Carey's camp confirmed a track called "Heat" this was previewed somewhat back in November, however its not confirmed if its going to be a single or release at any point its just going on the record. There is no date yet for the record, rumours are flying about April, but the goal is to have something strong (release) wise on tap for the summer, so April may see a single and June a Full cd. Though Mariahs camp is saying that a single is going to radio "soon", outside of "heat" nothing is confirmed, Mariah has about 20-25 tracks recorded with everyone from Pollow to JD but obviously not everyone is going to make the cut.

I know the fans & entourages of both camps are going to disagree, but I STILL say that Madonna & Mariah should do a tour together (NAME: Icon VS. Icon Tour). Regardless of who get the final win in this bitter rivalry, they'll both can be winners by making loads of money from this. Also their new albums would be a bigger sell because of it.

Madonna doesn't need or probably want to share all the cash she's been rolling in on the last couple of tours

not a huge fan of either (altho would rather see a madonna concert), but thats just crazy mofo idea.

The styles are just too different. Madonna puts on a show, mariah does her trademark "im wearing a skimpy outfit, look!" while a bunch of black rappers dance around her...

hmmm it's an intriguing idea, but let's be honest,Madonna's tours are hugely successful on their own wink She doesn't really need to tour with any other artist.

I doubt you will ever see these two in the same room together let anyone sharing a "bill". Madonna did say "Id rather be dead than be Mariah Carey" so that pretty much sums up her view on Mariah, and i doubt Mariah would wanna be around her either. even if you paid them billions they wouldnt do it, i mean it took millions to get David lee roth and Sammy Hagar to try it and they couldnt make it work together, Sammy said "fuck this, i make millions off of Tequila"

They have a weird relationship, that's for sure.In 1995,Madonna was asked her opinion of the OJ Simpson verdict. She replied "What do you expect? This is the same country that buys Mariah Carey records" lol But Mariah claimed that, when they see each other at parties,"Madonna blows kisses to me,but behind my back,I hear it's a different story".

nuts bitchy divas!
