I am not sure if EVERYONE loves these artists, but a lot seem to since all of them have done well sales-wise.

Nirvana
Dave Matthews Band (Yes, I agree with you. So boring.)
Mariah Carey (One note, Mariah, not a dozen. And no, dog whistles do not count as singing or emoting.)
Kanye West (So, this is the savior of hip-hop?)
Amy Winehouse (Talented. Just cannot get into her.)
Alicia Keys (I know, not an org favorite, but damn. She seems to be loved pretty much everywhere else. Bland and safe.)
Oasis, Pulp, Radiohead, and Coldplay (I like a couple of songs from each band but could never get into them like others.)
The Smiths (I hate Morrissey. Enough said.)
John Mayer (Someone described him as the King of Bland. I agree.)

I wouldn't call Kanye the savior of hip hop. But because of him I can enjoy mainstream hip hop again. His music is good for what it is.

People around here tend to think that as a Prince fan you need to be a Parliament/Funkadelic fan. But I just cannot get into them. I've only found one song of there's I liked and that's Maggot Brain. I wish Sly and the Family Stone got as much love around here as Parliament/Funkadelic.

I also agree with most of the above mentioned artists. Except Radiohead, Oasis and The Smiths. I love me some good Brit rock. And Nirvana. They be one of my favourite bands ever. I guess you had to be a loser kid in the 90s to appreciate them,

Well right off the bat

PHISH (why?)
The Grateful Dead (same as above)
Pink Floyd (i know theyre legends, but the Moody Blues are 100x more interesting)

Kanye West (maybe if he didnt talk i could listen)
98% of Prince Produced Artists who get a "pass"
Bob Dylan/Jimi Hendrix ( I respect them, but cant listen to them)
Nirvana ( i dont hate them, just dont see what the FUSS was)
Celine Dion (sorry cant take her)
Timbaland (I know he's a god on the ORG, but he hasnt really created anything worthy of "god" status)

Amy Whinehouse ( been there seen it all, nothing but Fiona Apple with heavy drugs)

John Mayer ( he bugs me simply because they put him on a level with Ryan Adams, are you fucking nuts!)
Nickelback/Daughtry (same thing, this is why Rock is dead, someone SLOWED the shit down!)

I am gonna catch hell for this but:

Stevie Wonder (I have respect for his artistry, but can't force myself to buy anything buy him)

JOhn Lennon (See Stevie Wonder explanation, I like the Beatles alot)

Any of the projects by Prince's proteges

Janet Jackson

Anything by P-Diddy, Biggie, or the Bad Boy Family

Dance

The list is too long and I agree about The Beatles,

but how can anyone hate their clones Oasis. Those drunken pieces of white trash are pretty damn solid, and Radiohead is one of the few "weird" bands that actually lives up to the hype.

Some people get caught up in historical or social significance or nostalgia or image. Some are victims of today's wave of crap and think they're supposed to love this stuff because it's dumped on them. Jedi promo is a bitch.
