Well Prince always has had 'control' issues and thats really all it comes down too, not that MJ isnt controlling the flow of what goes out there, but we have to remember its the people working for MJ that do these things for him. Ive heard some artists say "hey i didnt even know i had a Youtube channel" so things like this go both ways, not saying that MJ doesnt know where his stuff is going but you never know. With Prince he has always been this way, so why be shocked, i look at tons of artists i like and how they release exclusives to their "fans" and have always thought "why cant Prince do this", and the thing is that he isnt going to do it, thats the way he is, hes not going to change now.Despite Prince's talents and wide array of music and unreleased stuff, lets not forget that he isnt at the "starpower" of a Madonna,Michael or the Beatles, for Prince is more of a smaller audience, i mean lets be serious with that, with the exception of about 4-5 albums Prince has never been a big seller, he is more like a Pearl Jam or an REM with very loyal followings but much smaller than the iconic levels of others.

Fuck MJ. No one is hating on a foolish black man who melted his own face.

In addtion, you can find P stuff on YOUTUBE if you look. People put stuff up it gets removed it happens. Mike needs exposure P does not and he does not have a record company pushing him. Just a publishing company that once to get paid.

I have found a lot of Prince-related videos (including The Time, Shelia E. etc.). And THIS is exactly why Prince is crying a damn river wanting to sue everybody. If he wants his fans & fams to stop uploading Prince-related videos on YouTube or anywhere else, then why not embrace the technology that he used to respect during the 90's and start posting the videos on HIS own website.

So true. Prince would blow a load in his pants if any album he put out had numbers like Purple Rain. The difference is he either doesn't care or doesn't know how to promote his material like WB did back in his prime.

Any artist that tells u that "..sales don't matter to me" is a flat out liar. If it didn't matter u would keep that shit in ur basement & just let ur homies listen to it. Fact is is that Prince wants control of everything...& even if it means attacking the people that promote his work more than he himself does(his fans).

Another big issue is that to have this "YouTube" channel for Prince's old stuff you would have to have all parties involved agree on how it would work, meaning he and warner would have to make a deal, not going to happen. Alot of artists that have their own channel on Youtube, have one of the following, they either own their shit, or they work a deal with their label, or they are totally clueless and getting nothing from the channel and label. With Prince it would be the second i think, he just is not going to sit down with warner and hatch out an agreement. Two big things i saw this year that i thought "wow" why doesnt Prince do this, One was the release of "Elton John 60" this was to celebrate his 60th birthday, it was a cd,dvd of the concert and then an exclusive extra 2 hour dvd where Elton dug through old stuff that had never been seen on Dvd before of performances and put all that on their, great idea, but also nice gift for your loyal fans. Another great thing i saw was Rick Springfield's official site released a special "hardcover" book all about his 1980 album "working class dog" inside where all his original lyric sheets, new things written by Rick exclusively, demos from 1979, and tons of other things, plus autographed personally, and gold stamped with ltd edition number (only 1,000 made) . And i thought "hey prince" do this, then i remembered that he wont, or in reality cant due to ownership and the fact that he wont work a deal to do something like this.

He gets plenty of exposure when he sells out 21 concerts in England, gives away a cds and does his 3121 thing.

He does not need to threaten websites to get exposure. He did that to control his image and to try and continue to collect royalties. If your not paying a fee you are not seeing no P videos. ( I still cannot figure out why some of you can’t see the cease and desist letters for what they are )

Good Points. P would have to sit down a work something out with WB. That is going to happen on the first cold day in hell (LOL) In addition, if he did own the WB content why would he want a channel on Youtube. Why not have your own site with your own music channel. He had downloads before on the old NPG site. I can’t see him working with Youtube when he was out on his own before a lot of other artist knew anything about the internet. (with exception of David Bowie )

Madonna is a close 2nd for having some looney tune crazy fans but even with that, no one can hold a candle to them MJ people or as you would say the european MJ fans. That's a serious case of "Run for the hills!"

Because we also know that Prince wants his site (3121.com) to be THE only website where he can control our freedom of speech, choice, & expression. And I dare to say that no one (especially Prince) can tell TVD what he can and cannot talk about.

No one can control your freedom of speech. It is about money and the speech part was just thrown in as a scare tactic to get the site to shut down.

Hey DANCE, got a question for ya (or anybody). Michael has always had people going nuts over him (screamin' n hollerin'). And during Thriller everybodyacted fools wearing the glove, socks, etc. There was cryin' fainting and crazy crowds the 80s and 90s. It always was. So my QUESTION is, Why NOW like the last 10 years or so the fans gotta be "crazy"?
I mean, take Elvis fans. I mean the man's been DEAD for 30 years. His fans dress like him, pretend he's still alive, and THEN make their annual, tearful pilgrmage to Graceland. Yet I never hear anybody call his fans 'crazy'. Not to the extent they do Michael.
people just like hatin on Michael and his fans. It gets tiring.

A lot of those Elvis fans are crazy as hell too. All the so-called "Elvis sightings" and those who think he's still alive. As for dressing like him, I'm glad you brought that up because someone would look crazy as hell dressing like Elvis. But look at the Borepac Shakur fans. A lot of them think he's still alive also and lots of people dress like Borepac (thug clothes) even those that aren't fans of his. Now, I have something to throw in their face and insult them for dressing like thugs by saying....."You motherfuckers are just as crazy as Elvis fans". You know I love to shit on shit hop, "thug life", thug appearance, thug slang, and anything else thug related any chance I get. evillol

Agreed! Anybody, who is not hating on Michael and has some sympathy for him, tries to understand him and clearly has more knowledge about him than people, who are hating on him, gets called "crazy MJ fan"! That's tiriyng and getting old!

Not to say though, that there aren't crazy fans around! But any big star has some crazy fans!

Besides, that dove lady, as far as I know, is no european fan! We travel far to see Michael, but we usually don't carry doves around!
