Update: Omarion Addresses Manager Molestation Allegations, ''I Won't Stand Silent''

Former B2K frontman Omarion is denying allegations by fellow members Raz-B and Ricky Romance that the group's former manager molested them.

As SOHH previously reported, Demario "Raz B" Thornton and his older brother, Ricardo "Ricky Romance" Thornton, accused the group's former manager, Chris Stokes, of molestation in a video tape that recently surfaced.

Stokes responded by saying the claims "hold no merit" and were likely financially motivated. Now former group mate Omarion has issued a statement calling the accusations totally false.

"I want to be on the record as saying that 'Raz B' Thorton and Ricardo Thorton are lying regarding Chris Stokes," Omarion said via statement. "Chris is a father figure to myself, and many others in the industry. He's guided us, helped raise us and is nothing more than an inspiration and someone I respect and look up to.

"I have spent countless hours, days, weeks and months with the man since the age of 5 and have never once seen him behave inappropriately," he added. "He's married to my aunt and I know this man very well. I stand behind him with no question whatsoever."

Omarion said the accusations are damaging not only to Stokes but to Omarion himself because of the pair's close relationship.

"I have grown up around Chris and this is crazy to me," he said. "These people have damaged me and my reputation, and I won't stand silent and will do all within my means to speak the truth about this matter."

If Omarion is telling the truth, then he should consider suing his former bandmates for any lie that is being said about him.

If Omarion is lying, then that means that he has absolute no shame in F***ing For Tracks with anyone, including his own manager. But what works for Omarion & his career doesn't make it right for Raz B & Ricky if they're admitting that these things were an act of rape that was done on them.

these guys pretty much killed their chance at a favorable trial by going on youtube and chris has plenty o ammo now to go after them for slander.

they should have gone to the courts first...and in the end, they all lose....reputations ruined, childhoods lost....

Given that these allegations of molestation would have taken place when these young men were mere boys, I hardly see a denial as fucking for tracks. Do you honestly think children fuck for tracks? If anything, given the stigma of molestation and same sex relationships in the black community I wouldn't be surprised if Omarion were simply trying to 'save face', so he wouldn't be ostracized, villified, and blackballed by his peers.

However, each state has their own statute of limitations regarding child molestation, and I know that the state of Illinois has a seven year statute of limitations on child molestation which takes effect when the victim turns 18, even if the molestation happened years earlier. well, TUG is known for lying. When B2K came out, they were marketed as somewhat of a family group. They said Omarion was Marques Houston's brother, Lil Fizz was Romeo's younger brother or cousin, J Boog was Omarion's and Marques Houston's brother and Raz B was Stokes cousin. They also had a female singer named Jhene who was marketed as Lil Fizz's cousin. The only truth to this was that JBoog was actually Houston's cousin and Raz B was Stokes' cousin.

But in the end, youtube is not the way to go with this. It only opens you up to being attacked by the other side. They should have saved the allegations for court, but maybe this is how they got the authorities interested in the case...

sorry folks, i know molestation is a very serious matter and i know that being gay within the african american community has major stigmas but i just can't trust ore respect anyone that does what this young man did...nor do i trust an adult who takes pictures of teens in their underwear so at this point, for me, this situation is over with...im staying neutral. and exiting this thread.

I still don't think he made it all up, but clearly the money and lawyers got to him. Plus the fact the industry folks that would have been exposed would have spread way beyond the TUG Camp (JD, Diddy, R. Kelly...). I'm sure he was scared of never having a career or catching a bullet from Diddy.
