This band was something... I love this track, I was lucky to get hold of the original LP last week and I strongly advise you to get it whether it is a reissue or not:

Pleasure was a Portland, Oregon band. I had the good fortune to see em play live here in Portland many times back in the day. Miss em terribly. SO FONKAY and some of their work in the early 80's has some nice jazzy touches as well. The bass player for Pleasure (Nate Phillips) continues to be an in-demand session player to this day. Sadly, the band's drummer, Bruce Carter died last year of a heart attack. He was a big guy, Bruce. All us old schoolers here in the NW will always miss the guy they called "The Round Mound Of Get-Down". Great guy, and one of the best (and WAY underrated) funk bands.
