Great band? Great, I don't know. Good/Solid/worth my money, fuck yes.
Style? fab and fairly honest
John Frusciante's teeth? falloff
Dave Navarro's era...???? He didn't mesh well and took them somewhere else, but still good stuff then again maybe I just like him cause he's so Princeish.
That guitar dude that died? Next.
Did those dicks really pack those socks? Next.
Best cover ever of Donna Summer's I feel love? wtf? They could never

Their cool. I liked Californication and most of, if not all of BloodSexSugarMagic (I think that was the name of it.).

I personally feel they're totally overrated.

Ann Magnuson once profiled them for SPIN and hit the nail right on the head when she described Kiedis' talk as sounding like "a new age pimp". falloff

music for people who know little about real music

turn on any clear channel rock station, and you are bound to hear them

they are to rock radio what lionel richie is to e-z listening radio

The album they did with Dave Navarro was the last good record they put out. Everything they've done since then (at least single-wise) has been mid tempo limp dick modern rock. confused

Over-rated? Flea's bass playing is over-rated. But the band's songwriting is way under-rated. As is Frusciante's guitar playing.

Posers? Not at all IMO. They seem like very down to earth guys who have never tried to be anything other than what they are.

Great band? Definitely.

Style? To be honest, the melodic pop-rock suits them better than the hard funk-rock. But I do like to occasionally hard rocking funk jam. That's why I like their recent albums. A good balance of melodic and rhythmic stuff.

John Frusciante's teeth? What about them?

Dave Navarro's era...???? It sucked. I think Navarro tried to turn them into something they aren't. It also showed how much Frusciante contributed to the band. Without him they just weren't the Chili Peppers to me.

That guitar dude that died? He was a great guitarist and I'd say technically better than Frusciante. But Frusciante adds a new element to the band. Because of Frusciante they're a more versatile band. I think they'd still be a funk-rock skater park band if Slovak was still around.

Did those dicks really pack those socks? I pretty sure Chad's did. But Kiedis is all talk no dick.

Best cover ever of Donna Summer's I feel love? Actually, I've never been fond of their covers. Except for Subterranean Homesick Blues.

George Clinton... Worst album they made was the one he helped make.

DRUGS!
Unfortunate. I'm just glad they drugs didn't take Frusciante's life like they did Slovak's. He sure looked like he was heading down the same path.

Great band but I've gotten a little tired of their formula, especially Anthony Kiedis' lyrics.

John Frusciante is amazing and is what made them great in my opinion. They other guys are great too but John Frusciante is the one who took them to another level musically and added way more dimensions to the band. He's released a ton of solo albums, many of which are way better than most of the work RHCP has done...(check out his albums "Shadows Collide With People" & "The Will To Death" to name a few...also download "Dying Song" from the Brown Bunny Soundtrack if you can find it). I dig RHCP though, don't get me wrong.

really? eek
I don't really have an informed opinion, as this is the only RHCP disc I own (and I don't break it out much anymore). However, I have a number of shows and the best parts are when they do their Funkadelic, OP and Stevie covers.
