George Michael and MJB: "As"

I saw this video for the first time ever and the credits said it was from Ladies & Gentleman. I have that album and this song is not on there nor do I see it listed on web sites so was it on a different version or was the info incorrect? Anyway love their version and the video--George and Mary getting down in a virtual world. Priceless.

I don't know how to insert videos...

It's from the European version of Ladies and Gentlemen. Apparently, Mary's record company didn't want it on the American version because of the scandal.

I need to figure out which edition I have! You know in Canada we sometimes get both the American and the UK editions of things, because that's just how we roll.

i love this song. for once MJB just sang a song without all her stupid yelling.

it's also available as a single and on his more recent hits compilation "TWENTYFIVE" biggrin

Yeah, I need to pick up Twentyfive. I'm definitely going to now. I also need to get a collection of George's videos. The US misses out on a lot of his videos. Some I've still never seen. Thank goodness for YouTube.

I like this cover a lot. It's very faithful to the original.

Thanks! I must add that to my list. I've been slacking since he doesn't (really) get promoted here.

And I have the American version, which doesn't have "As" "The Strangest Thing 97" or "Fantasy", but has "Hard Day" and "Monkey*" which is actually the *remix from the video!

True!
But when U listen 2 the whole album it's just different.
All the songs fit well 2gether and the feeling of the
album is great!

BTW,As is one of his best ever...

I'm going to have to agree. Older is definitely worth a purchase even if you own Ladies and Gentlemen.

I also really dig "Fantasy," which was the b-side to "Freedom" IIRC.
