Bizarrely. I think I still have a segment of this show on VHS somewhere. I had taped over it, but some latter parts of it I still possess. It was also the time when Michael did his best to look as feminine as possible, but he looked sort of worn out and that show just might have been the first time he learnt how to manipulate the live audience to cheer for him like mad. First he'd silence them from clapping and yelling so he could speak, then he'd purposely do something that would get the most enthusiastic fans start screaming again (the "I love you" -shit... I mean you don't know me motherfucker, you can't seriously love me). And then he'd just smile and giggle as if it would have been all unplanned. He's done that many times since, even at the James Brown funeral.

I never really understood why the Jackson family wanted to give an award to Elizabeth Taylor. I mean wasn't she really the person who played an important role in distancing Michael from the rest?

Anything the Jackson family does as a family is a MONEY grab. They are OVA as a performing family. Mj and Janet as solo acts still have a few miles left, the rest are ova.

Probably from Jackson bashers. The factual story was she flew in for the show and flew out quickly for her tour or rehearsals. She was definitely pressed for time. I taped that show. The commentator spoke about this and were wondering about Janet's appearance because of her upcoming tour.

Tito is the third most active Jackson doing music at the moment besides Michael and Janet. La Toya will NEVER get that album out, Jermaine will keep talking about a J5 reunion until his hair turns silver, Jackie is... well, he's more mysterious than Michael because we truly don't know what HE'S doing besides living good off that Jacksons bread, Randy is similar to Jackie and Marlon's pretty much RETIRED as is Rebbie.

The only really musically active Jacksons are Michael, Janet and Tito. And maybe Tito, Marlon, Jackie and Rebbie's sons.
