One of my fav lineups. I love O'Hearn on bass. The whole mix of the players is fantastic. Belew also brings some real cool influence.

People in Zappa Forum are hoping for a full Halloween 77' 78 release with all shows released.

They are doing great things with releasing vault stuff. Buffalo 80 is awesome, and Wazoo also sounds great.

I can not get enough of Zappa. And if you have not seen ZPZ please do, they are superb and Dweez on guitar is worth the price of admission.
Music is the best...

Yeah, the Wolfgang concert is the initial one that started it all.
Unfortunately, I had already left NYC when this tradition got rolling. neutral

a halloween concert box set would be perfect. just put em all in one collection. i've noticed they're doing all kinds of crazy package deals with the zappa cd catalogue lately - this one would actually make sense!

actually, the first "halloween stands" started in 1974, but at the felt forum, instead of the palladium.
the "concert" posted is from an fm broadcast, and is i highly edited conglomeration from the halloween stands" from 1977. not all of it from actually from 10/31/77, bowling on charen is the guitar solo from wild love done on 10/30/77. he played shows on 10/28, 29, 30, & 31. all in all, it is a good slice of 1977 fz.
