What a total nightmare, but then again did we doubt it was gonna be anythiing but? I mean just the whole idea was so "lame" to being with, this is what happens when you have business majors and accountants running labels instead of music people, this is called CASH IN. And not that all reissues arent in some way, but jesus christ, you take one of the most iconic records of this generation and you totally take away its meaning by trying to make it sound hip to kids today so they will buy an akon ringtone. Im all for a celebration of this record, but save that crap for a tribute album, with this re-issue they should have just done some research through more demos that they had, worked on some really cool packaging, hey maybe even take a chance and release it on a limited vinyl too, fuck anything but this nightmare. I know the thought is to bring this album to a new generation, BULL, i say every generation will have their greatest albums and its up to them to make it, stop trying to do things like this, this would be like Bruce Springsteen celebrating the anniversary of "Born in the USA" and doing a new version of it with Fall Out Boy or Linkin Park, just to try and be down.
