They played this song on last week's episode of 'Soul Train' A hot jam from 1979 which was sampled by Nelly for his hit song "Hot In Herre".

Chuck Brown is a Washington, D.C., treasure. Didn't appreciate him much or the go-go scene in general, growing up, but missed it all as soon as I moved away.

And, he's a killer guitar player.

Was really tragic how -- around the time he had an anti-drug anthem in heavy rotation -- he was known to be a heavy user himself. Hope he's gotten out of that.
