How Can People Say Diana Ross Can't Sing?

I don't understand why so many people say that Diana Ross cannot sing. Sure, she may not be Aretha but that doesn't mean she can't sing. The thing people tend to forget is that Diana is a stylized singer and she has a unique tone to her voice. I personally love her voice. I think her voice sounded especially good on "The Blue Album" and she did an excellent rendition of Billie Holiday's songs in "Lady Sings The Blues". She is a better singer than people give her credit for.

I agree with everyone thusfar. There's no disputing. When it comes to Jazz, R&B,Blues,Her Classics, and Standards; Diana has it down to science. Her vocal style with stage presence is unique hands down.

I love her.
tho' I battled blind
love is a fate resigned
memories mar my mind
love it is a fate resigned

Over futile odds
and laughed at by the Gods
and now the final frame
Love is a losing game

All naysayers obviously haven't given her album "The Boss" a proper listen, if one at all.

Diana has a beautiful voice. It's her diva attitude that I find so unattractive.
