How did they forget the "Macarana"? Not a great song, but a huge dance craze that lasted longer than is should have.

That was one of the few good songs that was out that year. Yeah, it definately should have been on the list.

I am so sick of "Smells Like Teen Spirit". It's not even the best Nirvana song. I don't know why in hell it keeps topping these sort of lists. There are so many Nirvana songs I like more than Teen Spirit.

Yes there are many better Nirvana songs but Smells Like is undoubtedly the song that had the most impact of the 90s. I went past not listening and being sick of it but I started listening to Nevermind again after not listening to it for years and it was like hearing it with fresh ears and it still buzzes me. Yay me!

And if you weren't into music when this hit in late '91, you would not appreciate the impact this song had at that time.

Nirvana is one of the most crappy overrated bands ever. All the praise they get should have went to Soundgarden or STP or some other band that has music that holds up and can be enjoyed without having experienced the GREAT "GRUNGE" ERA.

The only good thing to come out of that was Dave Grohl, another guy who really doesn't get the respect he deserves.

Anyway, aren't all these lists on tv, in mags, and on a lot of big sites bought?

Isn't it basically another promo tool? I mean that's not completely true, but these things do make money.

stfu

but seriously I don't think these lists are bought, they are always debatable and get attention so I guess that's their whole point. Of course you take them with a grain of salt.
