They also forgot Hanson.. Um bop... how could they.. and they forgot aqua barbie girl.... they missed sooo many great songs... and the aaliyah song "are that somebody" YOU GUYS ALL KNOW THIS SONG WAS AMAZING....

I hate these list.. cause they are sooo biased... and incomplete.. and give more artist more credit then they deserve... come on

Hanson is #20

But you're right, it's a pretty terrible list.

Most of those songs are pleasant, but without any depth whatsoever. And here I remembered the beginning of the 90's as being decent for music.

Thanks for posting the whole list. I started watching some of it last night, but was getting anxious to know the number one song. As predicted, Nirvana was number one. Gee, didn't see that one coming. I was surprised to see Geto Boys on the list, and to see "Gett Off" so low. confused Should've been higher, imo.

67. Deee-Lite "Groove Is In The Heart" .....should've been higher too. Can't think of the 90's without thinking of that song.

No 4 Non Blondes.....wtf? "What's Up".....That song was huge in the 90s. It screams 90's.

VH1 with their bogus list.....as usual.

Cream was bigger than Gett Off anyway. And looking at their list, it's popularity that matters, not necessarily quality.

Not on the R&B chart. At any rate, "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" was bigger than both of them.

The rankings are highly subjective, but overall the choices are very indicative of the '90s. I'm glad "The Humpty Dance," "Sex and Candy," "You Get What You Give," and "Linger" made the list. I must say I'm disappointed STP (particularly "Interstate Love Song") is MIA.

BTW, as far as boy-band songs go, "I Want It That Way" is phenomenal. Best song to come out of that craze by a country mile.

Pfft, just the usual "Top 100 ...blah blah blah" BS

Music ain't a popularity contest anyway. If a song gets you moving and you love it, who cares if every other single person in the world hates it? What does it matter? If you enjoy it, enjoy it, simple as!

For my two cents though, I can't believe Pink's Who Knew was missed off the list.

According to this list the 90's didn't just suck big time but shouldn't be mentioned in any credible music history archive. What a sad sad situation...

I have to add... those lists... a don't give fuck.

The list is funny where everything is, but who cares. I am just enjoying seeing the little comments inbetween, where are they now stuff.

When I think of the 1990's I think of 1992-1996. Grunge smile Just seeing all the different artistic styles of videos, their music and their guts to not follow a pattern.

Like Now
rolleyes

now we dont have anything edgey or alternative. No one works their way up through the little bars anymore. Just give them the same music video concept stolen time after time and a budget of $5 million. Add a wind machine for their hair and just make everything glossy and boring. Shit we dont even have MTV anymore! Barely Music Videos are even made. sad Now add the fusion of having a rapper mumble under your song, wow rolleyes

I said they were decent, I didn't say they were great. They aren't up to 70s and 80s standards by no means.

I could at least listen to stuff like that then and not only tolerate it but like it also. That's more than I can say about the majority of the stuff beginning in the mid 1990s and all of the stuff in the 2000s when everything turned to slow to midtempo shit hop. I can't tolerate that whatsoever. When I hear it, I want to take a baseball bat and smash the damn radio into a thousand pieces. lol
