That's just layers of wrong.
I betcha I could probably find something over here if you were just ever DYING to have some Nona. You can get a lot of out of print and rare vintage black American artists in my neckof the woods

"Why Should I Cry" is my JAM!!!!! Produced by the one & only "Jellybean" Johnson of The Time. AND he played a mean ass guitar solo on the cut as well!!

I've always known of Nona but I have never bought or listened to any of her music. I know she has worked w/ Prince as well. Could someone recommend some "best of" tracks for me? Thanks, guys!!!

Must not have been that great if I haven't dug it out in 20 years!

Last year, I bought Dusty Springfield's 'It Begins Again' (another awesome and ignored album) and there's a fantastic song on there called "Checkmate" that Nona Hendryx wrote. Ever since then I've been on the lookout for Nona's stuff. I was only familiar with "Why Should I Cry". That was the jam in like '87. Fast forward, a few days ago I heard her 2nd album 'Nona' (the one shown in the picture up top) for the first time. I can't honestly say I was expecting much...but damn!!! I can't comment on the quality of her other albums..,but this one here is TIGHT!!! One of the best albums I've heard in a looooong time. If you dig Grace Jones and CHIC...you must add this to your collection!!! The first cut "B Boy" will have you sitting up at attention. I don't know nothin' 'bout "Baby Go Go". But you memorize that album cover. If see it anywhere...SNATCH IT UP RIGHT QUICK AND THANK ME LATER!!!

"Baby Go-Go" is a song Prince wrote for Nona in '87 under the name Joey Coco. It's from her album FEMALE TROUBLE.

always wondered about
Ms. Nona... I see her shit all the time at wrecka stows I frequent in Texas... I just have this feeling that I'm not going to like it which is weird because I'ma firm believer in not judging an album by it's cover what are some tracks ya'll suggest I hear? because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
