Robbie Williams Saw him on MTv's cribs this morning; this cat is funny as hell. So I understand that he's a singer/musician. Is he any good? Anyone have any recommedations? Abashed the Devil stood and felt how awful goodness is.

Robbie is HUGE in Europe. He isn't the worlds greatest singer but he is a great entertainer. As you said: a funny guy.
I'm not a fan of his music but his co-songwriter Guy Chambers can write a good pop song. Unfortunallly, the collaboration between the two ended in 2002. Ever since his career is going downhill.

Well, I'm not a fan of him per se, but yes, he is good! Great entertainer!
And it's so amazing that no one knows him in the states, but he fills the biggest stadiums in Europe, as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/wa...wKoq-9IgI8 from his '03 tour and here: http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related from his '06 tour! I'd say currently he is the biggest male singer Europe has to offer! http://www.youtube.com/wa...cIPJojwZfg Monsoon http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related Me and my monkey http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related Angels http://www.youtube.com/wa...wI4B-Z6_q4 Something beautiful a fun version of "Back for good" with old Take that buddy Mark Owen http://www.youtube.com/wa...lTfBil-_1A and my favourite Robbie Williams song "Feel" http://www.youtube.com/wa...re=related Anything from Knebworth '03 and Leeds '06 is recomendable! Those shows were both pro-shot and the first released as a DVD! [Edited 12/17/07 12:41pm] [Edited 12/17/07 12:47pm]

They've patched up their differences and have written a new album together - Let's Swing Again - to be released in February next year. Robbie's also said to be leaving EMI after this album. Robbie's done a few good songs and no good albums. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

LOL even though I have several of his albums as MP3 I never felt the need to listen to them... most of his stuff I either know as single or live... and live it's mostly better! I've seen him live two times though and he was great!

Where have you heard/seen this? I've only seen it on wikipedia, without any legitimate source, but I'll be very interested to get more info.

A really underrated Robbie Williams song that I like a lot is "My Culture." His duet with Maxi Jazz (of Faithless) on the 1 Giant Leap project.

He's basically pop music for people who used to like Oasis. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Can't remember, but it would make perfect sense from a commercial point of view. Robbie tried being arty and clever, when he's really nothing more than a vaudeville act. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently
