EMIMEM HAS BECOME AN OVERWEIGHT RECLUSE...HE MAY DIE BECAUSE IT AND HEALTH PROBLEMS! By ninemsn staff Eminem's concerned mother has spilled the beans on his unhealthy, troubled life, following his hospitalisation over Christmas. The 35-year-old rapper, real name Marshall Mathers III, has reportedly become an overweight recluse, crippled by writer's block since his best friend was gunned down 18 months ago. Instead of working on new music, Eminem spends his days watching television, playing video games and gorging on junk food inside his Detroit mansion, The Sun reports. "I fear for him every moment," his mother Debbie Nelson says in her new book, My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem. "He's let his blond hair grow out so everything but the ends are dark. "His face has broken out in pimples and he’s put on so much weight that he’s causing all sorts of other health problems for himself." At his peak, Eminem was one of the most powerful players in music, selling 70 million records and producing some of the hottest talent, including 50 Cent. His foray into acting, 2002's semi-autobiographical 8 Mile, won universal praise. But since releasing four records in six years, Eminem hasn't put out anything substantial since 2004. His reclusive lifestyle reportedly began after fellow rapper and best friend DeShaun 'Proof' Holton was gunned down outside a club. While the weight of the 173cm-tall rapper has reportedly ballooned to 92kg, Eminem recently spent four days in hospital with a reported case of pneumonia and heart problems. "Since childhood he's suffered bouts of pneumonia," Nelson says. "He’s always had throat infections and he’s asthmatic. Nelson is also concerned about the dwindling fortune of her son, who has had many high-profile legal battles and divorce proceedings with his former wife Kim — and apparently has a freeloading entourage to support. "I dread to think what his bills are — he pays for everyone hanging around the house," she says. Eminem was once declared the new Elvis — a white superstar dominating a traditional black market — and his mother fears he is following the same tragic path. "He's always had high blood pressure and his cholesterol levels must be sky high," Nelson says. "He orders fillet steak takeout from an expensive restaurant almost every evening."

Don´t know what the fuck is supposed to be so " " about this news.
I´m not an Eminem fan, his music never moved me much despite his rapping skills, and todays rap music may no longer be my cup of tea but still...laughing about someone who tragically lost his best friend and became overweight and depressed ? True class. Something very similar to this happened to my best friend, who is now also suffering from writer´s block, depression and overweight. I don´t find this news funny at all. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Found it
Slim Shady may not be known as such for much longer. The rapper's weight is said to have surpassed 200 lbs. which may be the least of his health concerns. According to TMZ, Eminem was rushed to a Detroit-area hospital over the holidays due to a serious heart condition and pneumonia. This health scare comes just a month after Eminem's mom, Debbie Nelson, released a book where she claimed her son had lost control of his life. As SOHH previously reported, Nelson recently released the tell-all-book, entitled My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem in the U.K. In it, she claimed Em has battled depression for quite some time. Nelson also alleged that her son's mood was at its worst following his 2006 break up with long-time girlfriend and mother of his only child, Kim. Eminem's publicist told TMZ: "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor's care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home http://www.sohh.com/artic....php/13389

Well you could tell from day one this kid had issues, so shame on Dr. Dre for taking advantage of this "angry" white kid and cashing in on it, but hey nothing about Dre surprises me anyway. As for Em, i never really liked his music at all and saw it as a novelity and a gimmick, which it really became. But you dont want to see someone just drop dead, he has always had issues and fame just made it worse. Please, Dre got down with Em because he had skills and that's it. and in that case, shame on all record companies looking for acts with talent.

But you seriously dont think Dre knew he had issues, this is no different than a label signing a jukie like Amy Whinehouse, or prolonging Britney. PLEASE dre smelt the cash rolling in just like any other label cashing in, talent or not. And? of course Dre knew he had issues, but what rapper doesn't/didn't? with the exception of Britney, Em & Amy have skills. Why wouldn't a label sign them? Were they not, just because they had some personal issues, wouldn't that be um.. discrimination?

My friend is a very talented musician who´s released a couple of CDs in the past. Grief and depression are not funny, and sometimes grieving leads to a long lasting depression, especially when you´ve lost someone dear to you but also when you break up with someone. You mentioned D´Angelo...most people don´t realize that he´s not really been on hiatus at all, he´s constantly contributed to at least one song on Snoop´s, Common´s and Dre´s albums, and he´s really a cool musician with a lot of talent. It´s a worn out clicheé but some people with talent also tend to have bouts of depression, you can also find this in some of Prince´s songs, like There Is Lonely, or There´s Others Here With Us, to name a few. Eating and being a hermit seems to be one of the most popular routes of depressed people, probably because stuff like chocolate raises serotonin levels and carbs also make you feel better, or because eating seems to be something like a stimulus. I´m sure Eminem and D ´Angelo will come back with some very deep music once they manage to get over their depression. The last time I´ve seen D´Angelo was in 2001 or 2000, and his show was fantastic. He´s someone to be reckoned with, anytime. Britney´s case is also tragic but in a different way. The other folks had to deal with different situations, her situation ( and probably MJs ) situation have , IMO, more to do with lack of a normal childhood and becoming too rich too soon. I mean I'm not happy about this, or at least I'm using every bit of good in me to try not to be, but am I supposed to feel sorry for this millionaire drug addict?
Am I supposed to feel sorry for any of them? The only sad part of his life is that his little girl is being raised by him and that crackhead wife of his. I feel sorry for those with some type of physical or mental health issue, but the rest are no better than the crackhead, wife beater, or worthless mother you pass on the street.

Eminem was already in trouble long before his friend died. He'd canceled tour dates, was suffering from exhaustion, said he hated being famous and had lost his touch lyrically. It's funny, but as huge as he was just a few years ago, he already feels like a figure from the past, and is fading from people's minds more and more. If he'd died in 2003 he'd be immortal like Kirt Cobain. I can't help but think if Kirt had lived this is what would have happened to him too, since he also couldn't handle fame, and was uncomfortable in his own skin from the start.
