So I'm thinking she must have done 2 performances: one after the Ice Capades and one after the circus.

I never knew that. I thought it was her only performance (at least in NYC) at that time. Either way, pretty interesting to see how far she's come from a simple shoulder shimmy to a performing icon.

She as working those shoulders, wasn't she biggrin

Ice Capades was basically a circus on ice. You may have been at the same show.

shimmy, shimmy, shimmy
jump up and down (3x)
hip wiggle
shimmy (fade out)

RipHer2Shreds	Nice find! See this is how little attention I pay to performers' private lives - I had no idea Rene was her boyfriend back then. I thought he was her hairdresser when I first saw him in 1989.
