The last time I saw Regina Specktor perform, she asked people to talk less and listen more. And then there's Courtney Love, who will yell at the audience whether they've done something wrong or not.

It dosen't matter if you're gay or straight, one has to love Sandra's diva moments. I have to respect her for saying what she feels and not giving a damn. She's definitely a renegade comic with chutzpah.

Regina Spektor played my friend's club in Hamburg not too far from where I live. She kicked someone out of her show too! It was some assanine jerk that goes to concerts and photographs himself giving the finger to the performers. When he tried that at her gig, she got up from that piano so fast... Her lyrics might often be a bit angst-like and punkish, but she's a pure classical pianist and it really is SO necessary to mindfully take in her playing. My friends told me that the sound check for her piano alone is an excruciating experience (but in a good way), might as well be sound checking for a Keith Jarret concert in Carnegie Hall As for Mother Tori, I saw thi story online when it first broke, and some of the comments people were writing were atrocious. they enjoyed ripping her to shreds in a way that only people who don't know jack about music LOVE to do
