Sly's Live At The Fillmore east

I acquired this (on oink if I remember correctly lurking) a little while back, but when I listened to this again I realized that man is this is a great album. Of course the sound quality is less than pristine since it's not an official release (although it's much better than any configuration of the Woodstock concert I've been able to find) and both discs have a lot of overlap, but man this is the sort of thing I REALLY want to hear from Sly, a prime era live album that includes mostly lesser known songs and album tracks. Are You Ready and Color Me True are simply amazing and they give whole new life to Love City and Dance To the Music.

Anyone else hip to this? A nice offically released live document of the prime era Sly & the family stone is something that desperately needs to happen. There's so many songs that I'd love to hear what they did with live like Thank You, Somebody's Watching You, I cannot make it etc, that I'm sure they must have used in concert at some point.

Sony/Legacy were meant to release this a year and a half ago. I also know who (unwittingly) leaked this...

It's one of the band...that's all I'm saying. From what I hear, he (another clue!) good naturedly copied it for a fan, and the fan sold it on. Some fan...
