While American pop culture has been extremely busy getting dirty through the likes of Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears, the Roman-Catholic driven Latin world has had its own share of controversy the last couple of days, as one of the members of the hugely successful pop group “RBD” was forced out of the closet by a latin gossip blog. RBD gained recognition in the United States through their single “Tu Amor“.

The pictures, released on March 2nd by LatinGossip.com revealed that in 2005, Chavez married the group’s long time stylist B.J. Murphy in New Brunswick, Canada. Following this leak, Chavez was forced to officially come out of the closet, and posted the following message on the group’s official site:

“Certain photographs were released that show a part of me, a part that I was not prepared to speak of in fear of rejection, of criticism. I don’t want to keep on lying and lie to myself because of fear.”

the article says pics were released March 2nd...yet this is all over the news today. wtf?
