She and all these current artists have one huge thing in common. They are all dull as hell. Hell, she was dull even back when artists weren't dull. She's a pioneer. She should be these current artists' queen. See....I'm capable of giving her a compliment. Andy is a four letter word.

of the ones mentioned (in fact i kinda enjoy all of them slightly), but she's proved over and over again that she'll be #1 with a new n dancy album. I go by what I've heard and everything I've heard about Madonna's project leads me to think it might become one of her worst-selling albums.

SoulAlive said: Madonna will easily debut at Number One and will probably sell the most copies worldwide. Mariah will have the most impressive sales in the States, though. I agree with this. IMO, Kylie is not a contender here. I'm doubtful about Whitney and what her audience will be b/c I don't see those big AC ballads being hits (added to the fact: she doesn't have that pristine voice anymore) or Whit doing a dance number in a video. Janet, it's still a toss-up. Ppl said 20YO was gonna put her back on the map and that was a bigger flop than "Damita Jo". We'll see what the single actually does on the charts first. love is a fate resigned memories mar my mind love it is a fate resigned Over futile odds and laughed at by the Gods and now the final frame Love is a losing game

I heard a clip of Whitney singing in Malaysia or Thailand or wherever she was a few weeks ago and it was very blah. She wasn’t cracking but her voice sounded very limited. IMO, if she’s going to try and hook up with these producers making the R&B music that’s out now, she can stay gone. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Whitney sounds like she needs to go back to taking vocal lessons. That clip in Malaysia was sad. At least it wasn't like the 2006 Winter Olymipics. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I think Janet might Triumph over everyone... who knows... because a lot of people are ready to support her.. and they want her to have a comeback....
then Mariah, then Madonna and lastly Whitney... sorry to whitney... but i dont' think she has mass appeal to different age groups and genres of music.... Madonna will just sell because so many people just like her...(I don't plan on buying her album but if she has a cute song then i will pay for the download of the song.... ) Mariah will do well.. but mabye not as good as mimi album.. only because people will probably get bored....it was exciting to see her comback.. and thats probably why she got so much attention.... and now the next comeback will probably be Janet and people will focus most attention on her....

No, Cyndi's new album is gonna outsell all of them. Okay, probably not. It'll more likely sell about 10,000 copies worldwide, but I guarantee one thing. It will be a superior album than anything these muppets put out. I've already heard four new songs, and three of them are great.
P.S. I would leave Madonna and Whitney out of the "muppet" category. They're not quite as zombie-like as the others. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Well every year everyone seems to have their comeback "spotlight" and this year will most likely be Janet's, 2004 saw Prince 2005 saw Mariah, but the thing is that these so called "mainstream" comebacks are usually the artists most un-interesting albums. As far as who is going to "sell" the most, it really depends who the labels want to drive down our throats the most, and which of those artists will do everything they have to, to play the media HYPE Game. I dont really have a favorite in that group because i have all their albums but lately with all of them i tend to listen to them less and less and less with each new album. I want something new from these ladies that will be different from anyone, i want to hear Janet do a guitar rock track (with real instruments) I wanna hear Mariah do a real ballad with a live band not this lazy "rythym pop" shes been doing like the BORING "we belong together". I wanna hear these ladies take a freaking risk instead of playing it safe like they have been, honestly i think Madonna might be the only one that has that desire to shake shit up and get blasted for doing it. And for Whitney, well, im really not a fan and never have been, but i guess if she does a Ne-Yo track she'll have her hit because thats the flava of the month, recycled, do what everyone else does. ^We Belong Together was the only ballad on that album that didn't feature a live band though.

I The Emancipation of Mimi. A true return to form for Mariah, I thought. With the exception of Fly like a bird, Say something, and Get Your number, this album was nothing memorable, despite having one of her biggest hits ever in We Belong Together, sometimes a hit doesnt mean its a good song, as we clearly saw from Shake it Off which was a number 2 and was possibly Mariahs most un-memorable hits. With each album there seems to be more and more filler, tracks with nelly and twista and camron and jay z on the last two albums are pure nonsense. Mariah, though i love her to death, might go down as the biggest "selling" female in history without ever doing a really good album beginning to end. I think everyone can agree that top to bottom she hasnt done that kind of album. I thought Emancipation was as good as any other Mariah album, ie. 3 or 4 good songs and the rest pure filler. "Stay the Night", "Get Your Number", and "Say Something" were all good songs, and are the only ones that are on my iPod today.
Funny that none of the songs I listed were big US hits, though. I'm the first mammal to wear pants.

Most fans I've come across--in person, on line and at the concert--loved this album, in it's entirety, fillers and all. If it’s not their favorite it’s certainly in the top 5 or so. I'd say it's a complete album altho I know alot of folks love Butterfly, as do I. I don't know if she's ever gonna do the kind of album you want from her. She could do it but does she want to, is that what she sees for herself at this point, I don’t know. I’ve accepted that she’s gonna keep with the collabos and some of the more hooky songs because that’s what she likes and surprisingly I like it too. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
